Description
Got a friend that you need to tell something really quick but, they're afk? Then this is the right plugin! This plugin will play a sound,a visual effect and simulate a physical poke to the player to get their attention. The plugin also includes a configuration file so that you can customize your message to poked players. Don't want players to hear a sound? Configurable! Don't want players to see any particles? Configurable! Don't want players to get a physical poke? Configurable!
Commands
- /poke <player> Pokes a player
- /poke reload Reloads plugin configuration.
Features
- Play a sound effect to the player that was poked
- Play an explosion effect to the player that was poked (no damage)
- Send a message to the player that was poked
- Simulates a real poke! (0 damage hit)
Permissions
- poke.cangetpoked: Makes it so a player can be poked.
- poke.canpoke: Player can execute /poke
- poke.canreload: Player can reload plugin's configuration
Configuration
- Reciever_Message: Message that gets sent to poked
- Sender_Message: Message that gets sent to the poker
- playSound: true/false - Should poked players get a sound?
- playEffect: true/false - Should poked players get an effect?
- nudge: true/false - Should a poked player get a physical poke?

I tried spamming the poke command, however nobody got kicked? Are you maybe using essentials to stop spam? Also what is the kick message?

This is a bug that needs to get fixed please.

This is awesome!
I own a private server with just me and my friends and we get hysterical poking people. We all whisper to eachother to gang up on one dude and poke the crap out of him. We love to see eachother go on ventrilo and yell 'WHO THE FUCK IS POKING ME!?'

I just thought of another suggestion. Is there a poke effect that can be utilized? like nudging the player just a bit as if they're actually being poked? I think that'll be fun but if its not possible totally fine. Thanks again!

Please put permissions though some of my players have found the /poke reload command and are using it.
Edit: Is it also possible to allow the messages to be colored? I like when the original message was yellow. I can't get it back to that.

Posted Sep 29, 2013I get an internal error when playEffect is set to true. Something about HugeExplosion not working?
Sorry I didn't get specifics I've since set it to false so the error doesn't come up. If you'd like me to reset to true to get specific error I will.
Also would be a really nice touch if the person who got poked knows who poked them. Like "You have been poked by %player%" Is that possible? And also a notification to the poker? "You've poked %player%" These should be configurable I think.
