Points of Interest optionally allows players to teleport to any POI. But teleportation is a risky business. For example, a recently exposed lava-flow might envelope the area with fiery, molten rock. Teleporting there would be bad.

That's why Points of Interest also has a built-in "safe-landing" routine. It takes the time to check out the area that you would teleport to and makes sure it is safe before sending you there. (After all, nobody likes to teleport onto a cactus!) If it seems unsafe, it will look around for a safe spot to put you.

So if you don't quite make it there when you teleport, just remember that it is for your own protection! :)
