Description:
PlotGuardian was first intended to be used on a server called ConsiliumCraft, BuilderPlot was not supporting PermissionsEx back then and the plugin appeared not to work very well for our use. As a result of this I started the development of PlotGuardian which originally implemented both WorldGuard and WorldEdit which made the plugin dependent on two other plugins and I was restricted to their code. As from version 1.5 I took a further step ahead and re-coded the whole plugin to make it completely stand-alone.
PlotGuardian protect plots which easily can be created with just one command, no need for separate worlds when you can have re-useable plots implemented into your current world. You can also create a protective plot which protects an area while users with plots inside those areas are still able to build in those.
For those of you who rule economy servers can also enable the economy feature in this plugin to allow users to buy and sell their plots using a sign. This is possible by just typing '[plot]' on the first row and the price on the second (example: '$100'). As the plot name can't be seen on the sign it must be placed in the plot to work.
Features:
- Protection for any plot created with the plugin
- Make the plots at any size you want them
- Use any names you want for the plots
- Sell the plots at any price you want
- Easy to use commands for both players and admins
- Protective plots
- Protect areas outside plots
- Protect blocks against interactions outside plots
- Add as many members you want
- Claim as many plots you want
- Command parameters for faster plot creation
- Full permission support
- Multiple worlds support
- Vault Economy support (disabled by default, vault is not needed if disabled)
Compatibility:
PlotGuardian will work just fine as long as you do not have any other plugin using the '/plugin' command, diamondselector (the diamond) or the blazerod. If you plan to use economy you must have Vault installed on your server. Vault doesn't have to be installed if economy support is not needed.

Can you make it possible to put a plot for rent?
@Nikz11 That depends on the error-message you recieve. If it says you are lacking the permission you might want to try giving him the 'plotguardian.addmember' permission node. Reply to this comment wether it works or not :)
Hi, i created a plot and sold it. The person who bought it is now the owner of the plot and this was confirmed by blazerod.. But for some reason he dosen't have the permission to add a member to the plot? Is this a bug? or what.
@tkeckler09
I still don't get your exact point but I assume the moderator create the plot, claims it and then adds jimmy as a member to the plot so he can use it. The owner/member system was made so only owners may create and remove owners, not members individually. If the members could do so they could easily remove the actuall owner and claim the plot for them self, for no price.
The recommended usage would have the moderator to create a plot and then having the user claim it, so there is an owner.
I know you can add people to a plot. Let me reexplain. Mod A protects a land for jimmy. Jimmy then has his friend come to his house to live in it but his friend john isnt added to the land. so Jimmy checks and there is no staff on able to add john to the land. So it would be helpful to make it to where Jimmy could add him I dont care if I need to individually give them perms to be able to allow them to only be able to add people to their land only and no one elses as long as I would be able to do that.
@tkeckler09
There is already features for adding members to a plot, has been since the plugin was born. Check out the Usage Guide page, http:dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/plotguardian/pages/usage-guide/
Have them be able to add users to their plot say a donator has a plot no mods are on but they want their friend to be able to build so they can just type a command to add them but only to their plot to where they cant do /plot add thediamondbuildingplot
@FusSionzZ97
If you want to keep the flags feature of WorldGuard, but still be able to use plots, it'll take a bit of setting up but it's definitely possible:
Let's say your base permissions group for players is called 'Players'...
Give that group the permission 'Group.players', then create your WorldGuard region as normal. When you're done, add the 'players' group as an owner of the region so they have build rights inside it (command /rg addowner <region> g:players).
Next, create the PlotGuardian protection region using the same co-ordinates as the worldguard region, this stops players building again, unless they own a plot which you're now free to define within this double-protected area.
Just adjust the group name to your requirements and you're set :D
@tkeckler09 "have the owners be able to add", add what? Height to their plot? You can always add a few more parameters to the create command if you'd like to make it higher right away (example /plot create plot12 0 255, where 0 is bedrock and 255 the highest breakable block). I should make a feature to expand it's height though or 'redefine region'. @FusSionzZ97
If you want to have plots in an area I would recommend using the Plotguardian protection for that area, you can still use worldguard if you don't have any plots. At the moment you cannot add any flags etc. to those but it's always been on my mind to add in future updates.
@Mshax085
So i have to use plotguardian protection other then worldguard protection? what about all the flags and other things.
Ok so I first not used it first it would be very helpful if you could type /expand vert to make it go all the way up and down or something close to the /expand vert and it would be neccasary to have the owners be able to add and not claim because some people could go on a claiming frenzy.
@seiterseiter
This plugin doesn't deal with any blocks inside the plot, just the protection at the moment.
@tkeckler09
Could make such feature if it's needed, personally I think the owner could just /claim the plot he wants :)
@FusSionzZ97
Remove the worldguard protection, create a protective area around the city and then create the plots. A full guide for each of these steps can be found in the 'Usage Guide'.
How can i get this to work with worldguard? I have a big city with worldguard protection but i need claimable plots within the city how could i go with this? i badly need this, thanks :)
Do you think you could add a feature to where a mod could make the protected land and then add the user as the owner. Upon user being added as owner they get the permissions to add people to the protected land themselves.
are you able to add a feature where if you unclaim your plot it clears it back to normal and you can turn it off or on in the config
@levisn1
It's a failure of mine, had it in the back of my head all the time while making 1.5.3, should have written it down. Anyway, I won't release a new update because of this as it takes hours for the BukkitDev staff to approve the file. Here is the temporary fix, version 1.5.3 with the fix applied. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/gja1cdmylqp929o/PlotGuardian%201.5.3%20%28Bucket%20fix%29.jar?dl=1
i have a problem...my players cant use bucket in worlds exempt from protections outside plots,so world world_the_end and world_nether and have this error..."[PlotGuardian] You cannot build at this location! and this seems happen only with buckets.. me op not have problems to do...this my conf...and they can't even use id 96...even if disallowBlockInteractionsOutsidePlots is on false.. @defxor
No problems, enjoy! :D
Thx for JDK6 :)
@Faenix1
As from update 1.5 PlotGuardian no longer use WorldGuard to create the plots, not even WorldEdit to define the selections. Excluding the economy the plugin is completelly stand-alone.
