PlayerParticles
PlayerParticles has moved to Spigot. Please download the plugin from https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/playerparticles.40261/ for now on. Newer versions will no longer be uploaded here.
PlayerParticles is great to use as a VIP perk and is EULA friendly! Your players will love the amount of customization that is available for them!
The plugin wiki can be found here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki
Permission details can be found in the wiki here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki/Permissions
The GUI provides ease-of-access for your users. Simply typing /pp will open the GUI and bring them to a menu where they can edit their particles. If you are using the plugin for a server lobby, you can bind the /pp gui command to an item using a different plugin.
The section below contains a GIF of all styles currently available in the plugin. Please note that all styles are compatible with all particle effects, meaning there are thousands of combinations. I only show one effect per style in the GIFs below. While most of the GIFs only show the particles around a player, the majority of them can also be placed around blocks.
Arrows
Batman
Beam
BlockBreak
BlockPlace
Celebration
Chains
Companion
Cube
Feet
Halo
Hurt
Invocation
Move
Normal
Orbit
Overhead
Point
Popper
Pulse
Quadhelix
Rings
Sphere

Twins

PlayerParticles will check for an update each time your server starts. The plugin .jar will never be downloaded, OPs will get a notification in chat when they log in if an update is available. PlayerParticles will also send metrics about your server anonymously through bStats.
Update checking can be turned off by setting check-updates to false in the config.yml. Metrics can be turned off by setting send-metrics to false in the config.yml.
If a player has their particle settings (In Options > Video Settings) set to minimal they will be unable to see most particles displayed. I am unable to fix this since it is purely client side.
I will only help you with errors you are having if you are running the latest version of the plugin and are running a supported version of Minecraft!

PlayerParticles v5.2 has been released! It is compatible with Minecraft versions 1.13 down to 1.9. A majority of the particle effect names have changed, so make sure you update your user permissions accordingly!
I did some testing on my own, but it's possible I may have missed a bug or two. If you find any, please create an Issue!
The estimated release date for PlayerParticles v5.2 is September 7th or 8th. It will support Minecraft 1.9 to Minecraft 1.13, with native support for Minecraft 1.13.
GUI doesnt work...
Why?
In reply to DragonPixelsss:
Hi, any idea on when we can expect the 1.13 version or how far along u are?
In reply to roxixay:
How does one get block/item data for fixed particles? i tried to do coal for iconcrack, but it still says i need item data
In reply to Grrevous:
I'm working on getting the plugin updated to Minecraft 1.13. I will try my best to keep the plugin backwards compatible to Minecraft 1.9.
Hi, Esophose
is it possible to add something like a particle bound on a tool?
(i mean the Player equip iron boots and get a Flame spin effect]
In reply to Forge_User_13149339:
I have uploaded a version of PlayerParticles v5 that is compatible with Minecraft 1.8. This will be the final release that supports Minecraft 1.8.
I have also uploaded v5.1 that fixes a bug in v5 and also makes it you can make specific messages not display by setting them to empty '' in config.yml. Enjoy!
The GUI won't work for me.
when I click on effect/style buttons nothing happens. there's no other GUI to choose what effect or style I want.
great plugin.
but how can i give the players permissions to access to the particales or the gui without giving them op? help it says you dont have permission to use any particales!
In reply to ixJaguar:
How come it isn't possible to give other players particles? i want to be able to give them particles without having them set it themselves as that's the reason i need particles to begin with.... am i missing something?
