PistonChest
You can now give pistons certain abilities which extend their basic boring nature.
Supports:
- LWC (command 'pcpassword <password>' allows the user to assign a password to a piston, to give to LWC password protected chests)
- Lockette
- Secure Chests
About:
Whenever you place a piston it will be registered in your name. This prevents players from destroying them or claiming them for themselves. PistonChest supports the above plugins which can prevent a piston from accessing a chest if they do not have permission. In this plugin there are certain abilities which modify how the piston behaves, and can be combined to create the ultimate machine. The basic ability is being able to push and retrieve blocks and items from a chest. In order to add an ability the player must use the specified tool (default: stick) then right click on their piston to bring up a GUI from where they can either add items to use abilities or simply turn them on and off. See below for a list of abilities...
To Install,
- Copy and paste the 'PistonChest.jar' file into the plugin folder...
No more need for Commands!
Use a stick by default to modify your piston functionality! (Version 1.8)

@Kapten_Knas
Hey man, could you please make a ticket, or give me some more details like what version of bukkit and then the plugin you are using. and some steps to recreate the problem. Otherwise theres not really enough information to go off. haha. Thanks,
@Liger_XT5
Getting the very same. Pistons placed inb4 installing the plugin still works without any error message though.
Hey guys if yous are coming across any bugs after this comment, could you please create a ticket as that is much easier to work with. haha. Thanks :) But other than that it should be all working on both 1.2.5 and 1.3.1 servers now! (That is for v1.5.2 that is!)
@Liger_XT5
Hey what version were you using?
@Liger_XT5
Ok thanks for letting me know. I will try get that fixed today.
I just added this onto my server. Every time someone uses a pistonchest, the server log posts
Error processing piston info.
Also, if you put an item like black wool in the gap and run it, the chest shows a white wool, same goes with sandstone slab and normal slab.
I'm still on MC 1.2.5 until CB and Spout/Spoutcraft
has good working builds to upgrade to.
@rcarnochan
yer man no problem nearly done!
@dylanisawesome1
No its not your server. I am aware of this bug and am working to fix it as we speak :D
@BradleyDS2
I am actually nearly done integrating both lwc and lockette :D haha
Is there any chance of a version that supports Lockette? Many thanks if you could make it. Looks amazing but some members of the server I'm on wish for lockette support before installing this awesome plugin
Can you please make this lockette compatible? It would be a GREAT addition to my server once it supports lockette! Keep up the good work!
Not sure if its just my server, but if i drop say an emerald block, i get 2 in the chest. if i drop down 2 blocks, then i get 7 from the chest.... 2 mob eggs from mobs, etc....
GREAT JOB the mob spawn eggs are hillarious (here piggy piggy flip lever "SQELL..." blop right click . Pig: what just happen
@allpeg
ok thanks for letting me know. I have fixed the problem and now it should be working properly! haha
some bugs (tested on 1.2.5 server): - pushing an air (or player?) will push nearby mobs in 5-7 meters - after pushing something into chest piston will not revert his state when unpowered anyways, great plugin! thanks
@WarmakerT
Hey, ok I will have to check the lava and water out. I thought I had encountered for that... haha. and ok I will check out the sugarcane as well.
but for the choosing part, do you mean like having another boolean value for the pushing the blocks in the config.yml? like whether to allow block pushing or item pushing?
Could you make it so we can choose if we want blocks to be able to be pushed, same for drops?
And also, when you push sugarcane, sometimes it will put into the chest a sugarcane block instead of a sugarcane item
Edit.: Lava and water can also be pushed into the chests, can you fix that?
@WarmakerT
Ok done. haha I have added a editable config file, which you can disable enable the ability to push mobs into chests, and the ability to spawn a mob on mob spawning, piston collision.
Hope you like it :)
That quality of the the second video is horrible. Lol. But this plugin is awesome.
Nice rate of updates! Yesterday it was rather simple! :P
@kevupton
Monster and animal, when pushed into a chest, will turn into mob eggs. But this should be configurable(boolean).
@damnnicholas
Hey, thanks mate, :) I added a link to it in the page.
Hey, i made a little showcase video on your plugin :) Hope you'll like it!
