Auto-updater
This plugin has a built-in auto-updater, which connects to BukkitDev to check for updates. If you wish to disable this process, you can do so by setting 'Other.UpdateCheck' to false in the config.yml file.
You can use parkour levels, setting their level to 10 and then making the minimum level requirement for the course 10.
I will look into a more elegant solution
I've created a better way to achieve this, by incorporating the parkour levels. If you had certain areas of Parkour locked off, make them an unobtainable level (say 20).
Then give the group permission "Parkour.Level.20", then they will be able to join.
(Available in next dev build)
Thank you so much for all the work you've put in! The plugin is working flawlessly now!
On that note... Is there any way to have the plugin issue a console command upon completion?
Do the course prize conversation:
"/pa prize (course)", then choose command.
You can enter %PLAYER% in the command to add a player argument, for example "kick %PLAYER%" will kick the player when they complete the course etc.
Hope this helps, and thank you for your kind words! :)
I have fixed all the problems reported recently, with a new dev build available 18-12-2016.
Thank you to everyone finding and reporting problems!
Having an issue:
Player is in adventure (world defaults to adventure, this is a hub style server). Player starts parkour, can go through the course fine, and upon finishing the course (by walking on finish block), the player is teleported to the lobby, and their game mode is still adventure. This is perfect.
Here's the problem:
Player is in adventure, player starts parkour, decides they want to leave parkour. Performs a shift-right click on the sapling to leave. Player is then teleported back to the lobby and their gamemode is set to creative.
I also noticed that when the player starts parkour, their gamemode is set to creative, the player tries to break a block, the block will "crumble" and the player will get the message, "You don't have permission: Parkour.Admin"... But, when the player "finishes" the game by stepping on the mushroom, their gamemode properly goes back to Adventure.... All is well, the problem ONLY exists when the player leaves the game early by using the sapling.
Thanks!
That is bizarre, I've never seen this error so I will try to recreate it soon. Just to eliminate all possibilities, please ensure there is no conflicting plugin that is overriding the way Parkour sets your gamemode.
I will reply to this comment when I have more information.
This is the situation I have as well. ^ this was a better explanation of what I'm seeing.
The new dev build works great! (10/12/16) Leaderboards work fine. It's just a pain to go through the conversion every time. Be a lot easier if you could do /pa leaderboard <course> [Personal/Global] <number of scores shown>.
Other than that, love the plugin. Or if you just do /pa leaderboard <course>, there would be an option of what it would default to (personal/global) and the default courses shown. Making it a little easier and less of a pain to view leaderboards.
Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback, I was actually going to improve the leaderboards overtime, this is just the first working version to make sure there are no problems. I will be adding a quicker way to view leaderboards as I agree it's a little long winded at the moment!
Good idea, I'll look into the best implementation for the next dev build.
Cheers
I'm having an issue when players leave the PK map. No matter what the config file is set to players leave Pk in creative mode, allowing them to destroy things they should not be able to, specifically it will not exit Pk in adventure mode. Any ideas?
The setting "Other.onFinish.Gamemode" should be set to 0 for survival, or 2 for adventure.
If you are talking about the actual config being updated, I've identified a problem and it will be resolved in the next dev build.
Thank you
Anyone else unable to access the forums?
I can't either....seems to have disappeared since the dev bukkit upgrade.
@stockholmgaming
Hello, yeah if you grab one of the dev builds from the website it should work on any latest versions of bukkit. I've tried to make it as future proof as possible :)
Hi, does this work with 1.10? If it doesn't I can surely by now say there are currently no good multi-course plugin out there :P
I've updated the link to use the new hosting / domain.
Clearly the free stuff wasn't good enough!
@c0wg0d
Hello, thank you for expressing such positive interest! :)
I would appreciate that greatly, Parkour 4.0 offers to fix everything that was wrong with <= 3.7 (performance being the main one) and I hope everyone enjoys the update.
If you would like to discuss this further, please add me on skype: iA5H73Y. Thank you.
I already posted this on the Spigot forums, but I'll post here too.
I am incredibly excited to see you working on an update for this plugin! We have over 250 courses on our server, and I would love to have some bug fixes and new features added! I'm not all that interested in testing alpha development versions, but I would be more than happy to give detailed bug reports once the plugin is in a more stable "beta" state. Our server is aimed at children, so they WILL find ways to break your plugin. :)
