What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

For the perms page, you could add in a button to reload the permissions, so that if someone were changing them, but changed their mind, they could easily revert to the last saved configuration. Also, you should make it so that when the page is opened, not only are they colored differently, but also the ones that someone has are already checked. One more thing - the green makes it very hard to see what the permission is (at least on my screen), so you might want to think of a different coloring. The red is fine.

@atrayan : When the check box isn't checked, it means it's going on "default." To add a check (which makes this plugin run over default) is unnecessary processing.

The buttons are an interesting idea, I'll consider it. Maybe custom colors as well...
