OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Conditions
- Multi-world support - create separate files to handle each world
- Add super rare drops with chance values down to 0.000000001%
- Specify tools required (or a list of tools eg. [any sword, -diamond sword])
- Lorename, Heroes (class & level) conditions
- Cooldowns
Actions
- Apply actions alongside the drop (or even without a drop)
- Damage tools and/or consume items (eg. use dyes to color wool)
- Damage or heal the victim, player or even the whole world
- Apply potion effects to the victim, player, radius, world or server
- Display custom messages (or a list of messages with one selected at random)
- Create explosions, lightning, visual effects (including particles), sound effects
- Run commands
Ideas
- Give leaves various chances of dropping apples, sticks, cocoa beans, saplings, etc on break and/or leaf decay.
- Make glass, stairs, and boats reclaimable (can be tool-specific if you wish).
- Allow gold and iron to be mined directly into ingots with a golden pickaxe.
- Allow users to right-click on cobblestone with vines in hand to turn the cobblestone mossy.
- Nerf mob traps by disabling drops from environmental damage.
- Unleash the zombie apocalypse by setting zombies to drop zombies when they die! (This can be world-specific.)
- Make mobs that don't normally spawn naturally spawn.
- Make mob spawning, drops, and events biome specific!

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.

It's been a while but yes, still being worked on - it's just that on the whole OtherDrops still works and I had other priorities :) Just tested this (fishing) under Spigot 1.8.8 and works fine for me, checked logs and event is triggered and got my drops successfully under both fish_caught and fish_failed triggers.

Hi Adurath, I assume there's a tilde in there (DevBukkit removes these from the normal chat so you need to use ((code)) ((/code)) brackets (replacing the ( ) brackets with < >), e.g.
I've tested both those configs (with STONE and STONE@0) and no problems here (under Linux though so that may be different as you've said). What version of Windows and Bukkit are you running? Perhaps trying a different version of Bukkit if possible (as the YML config reading libraries are part of Bukkit) might change things?

I'm not sure if this plugin is even being worked on any longer.
I just wanted to report that it does not work for fishing in Spigot 1.8.8.
With verbose logging, it doesn't even seem to see the fish_success or Fish_caught or Fish_failed events. I'm guessing this changed in 1.8.x?

That's an old error and really just spammy at best. It does not actually hinder the plugin nor server in any way (besides being spam for the console).

Don't write again the material name for each actions. The dash are here to do the job. In the config file, you can mention only one time each material. You must write all of what you want in the same part.

Ok need some help, I've been trying to get it so that certain passive mobs drop other items (bones, string, slime) as i use a server without aggresive mobs but I can't get the thing to work, I have the mod enabled on the server thus us what i have in the config for it: SHEEP: - tool: ALL drop: STRING quantity: 1-2 chance: 70%

Was wondering if I could get a bit of help here. I configured the following drop
on a 1.7.10 server with worldguard and several other plugins.
The diamond ore when broken drops the diamonds as expected. However, it will still drop the diamonds in a world guarded area where the player does not have permission to break blocks. This obviously is an issue as it allows for a very big exploit. Do any of you have a suggestion?
Can you make there have more commands like phatloots?
Hi I was wondering does this work with other mods as in changing the drops for orespawn/divinerpg etc. I am making a pack and want to make the nether star harder to get, and I restricted the wither boss from dropping it but that is a vanilla mob. Now I am trying to restrict Mothra from Orespawn from dropping it, and it's not working. This is how I have it set up:
danger.orespawn.Mothra: - drop: 7098/25 chance: 100% - drop: gold_nugget/53 chance: 100% - drop: item_frame/1 chance: 100% - drop: blaze_rod/3 chance: 100%
I have also tried just Mothra as the name and it was a nogo. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!

I have a problem with this plugin when it comes to configuring a WitherBoss
When you first attack the Wither it drops a Nether Star. Players can then run and take it without killing the Wither. But if they choose to stay and fight, they sometimes have a chance at a 2nd Nether Star.
