spout-materials
I will be adding more information as SpoutMaterials support is tested.
The new version is called MoreMaterials and hasn't been tested yet (it does contain support for the old SpoutMaterials config but I'm not sure if it handles the items the same way).
SpoutMaterials
Custom SpoutMaterial blocks/items are represented by FLINT@<id#> starting with ID#1024.
Eg. the first item in your config is FLINT@1024, the second FLINT@1025, etc.
You can use them as the block, tool or even drops, eg:
FLINT@1024: - tool: FLINT@1025 drop: FLINT@1026
I found this a while back but cannot remember where. It lets you hold any item and type /data, and it gives the data value and item ID.
Replace item ID (318) with Flint to use on this plugin and it speeds up a LOT of things.
NOTE: I DID NOT MAKE THIS PLUGIN. It's not an "official release one" because the guy who made it felt it was too small. All credit goes to him, although I don't remember who it was =/

Missed this because BukkitDev doesn't alert me to comments on pages other than main :/
Anyway thanks for the info but OtherDrops already contains this feature with the "/od id" command (see the commands page).
I have got a custom build of OtherDrops that supports SpoutMaterials even further by allowing you to use the names of items rather than flint@number. Unfortunately it forced dependency on Spout (not sure why) so non-spout users can't use that build.
