Omega Weapons
The Omega Weapons plugin adds 5 new weapons, each of which have 4 states. These 5 weapons are the Warhammer, Battleaxe, Scythe, Mace, and Cleaver. These weapons can be upgraded, provided the player has sufficient xp, with a command while held. Everyone has permission to craft these weapons in the plugin, and none of them can be used to grief or destroy anymore than a regular tool of the same form.
Weapons:
Crafting for all basic weapons is as follows:
DGD
DOD
DID
where D = diamond, G = gold ingot, I = iron, and O = the object that the weapon is built around (i.e. Diamond Pickaxe for Warhammer, etc.)
Warhammer (Diamond Pickaxe)
This weapon, while not the most directly damaging of the Omega Weapons, has an inherent knockback force that increases with upgrades.
Battleaxe (Diamond Axe)
The Battleaxe is a good middle ground between knockback and damage, as it balances both in one effective weapon. Both damage and knockback increase with upgrades.
Scythe (Diamond Hoe)
The Scythe is the weakest of the weapons, but has a 1 in 10 chance of critical hit, which does significant extra damage. At maximum level, this critical strike can instantly kill any non-boss enemy. Damage and critical strike damage increase with upgrades.
Mace (Diamond Shovel)
While not the most powerful direct attacker, the Mace shreds flesh and sinew, and as such will inflict painful status effects on your foes from time to time. Upgrades boost damage, debuff duration and debuff strength in its final form.
Cleaver (Diamond Sword)
The most directly powerful weapon in Omega Weapons, the Cleaver has no special effects on the side, but can tear through foes with terrifying force, one shot killing many foes in its highest form. Upgrades increase damage.
Upgrades
Every weapon in this plugin, upon crafting, will have no prefix and very basic stats, though still more powerful than the original tool. In order to further increase their power, you must use your earned xp to upgrade them.
Upgrade Levels
Supreme - The first level of upgrade, supreme weapons have blue text and are more powerful than the basic weapons. To obtain Supreme, one must upgrade a basic Warhammer, Battleaxe, Cleaver, Scythe or Mace with 20 levels of xp using the /ow upgrade command while holding the weapon.
Alpha - This second level of upgrade provides even more power than the Supreme version, as well as purple text. Upgrading to this from Supreme costs 35 levels of xp.
Omega - As the ultimate upgrade, Omega weapons are more powerful than any other. This final upgrade will cost 50 levels of xp, and gives a red colored text.
Commands
/ow upgrade - upgrades the weapon you are holding if you have enough xp, and deducts the xp if successful /ow upgradexp - tells how many levels are required to upgrade the weapon in your hand /ow credits - tells you who made the plugin NEW /ow repair - allows you to fully repair an omega weapon for 10 levels of xp

Permissions
Since there's no possibility of griefing, plus the great expense of the weapons, everyone has permission to craft them! :) This MAY change due to popular demand.

Is this compatible with McMMO? And if so, does it give similar buffs (i.e. Battleaxe gets Axes buffs, Cleaver gets Swords buffs, etc)?
@GameDevKat
Thanks for the help, but I already know how to manually decrement item durability, how it's backwards from what you'd think with 0 being brand new durability, the thing is I'm not sure if I want durability to be an issue. On top of that, I rarely have time to pay attention to my plugins nowadays, though I come on to check up on them occasionally. I'm not abandoning my projects, but being a college student doesn't give me the utmost amount of free time, and with my limited amount of coding knowledge change will certainly be fairly slow. :3
I forgot to mention it before, my idea would be to implement a config option to enable or disable the default bukkit tool/weapon durability. Enabling would mean tools and weapons wear down the same rate as non Omega weapons. Disabled would be the default option meaning they wear down as you intended.
Adding a permission to block repair commands needs no explanation (: or it could be a config option as well.
Im checking out Omega Treasure very soon, as it also plays well with how I'm setting up my server. Its like a big treasure hunt as you fight off over powered mobs and try to buff up while making towns to fight off other players.
Hey there, I noticed the Scythe never crits. I tried to edit your pluggin with my little knowledge of Java code. I located the dmg output section for each level of the scythe but I am unsure of what to change in order for it to crit.
Could we get perms to craft and upgrade these? We want to use them as quest rewards for our RP server. Please and thank you.
@LastTulare
If that's the case, you'll hate to hear that these weapons don't take durability damage in combat, only if they're used as a tool! D: I'm sorry about the economy, I guess I wasn't really considering that aspect of it. I was looking for a Roleplay style weapons system that let you build up epic weaponry over time and wouldn't have to worry about the durability after you put so much effort into it. However, I may, whenever I get the time to update this, add a config file that allows the disablement of certain weapons and the ability of repair! I can't guarantee it'll be soon, as I have loads of other plugin projects festering, but I'll do my best to remember to add that feature when I get the chance. Thanks for your input! :D
This plugin is great! works perfect for me. The only request I have is a couple permissions, so I can block the repair command. I don't want players to have their powerful weapons forever if they never lose them. It would hurt the supply and demand of the economy system!
@JimiRebeld
It may be a while until I know my way around bukkit plugins enough to do something like that, sorry. I'm just a nub when it comes to bukkit.
Nice project, can you make weapons raise level without using a comand? Im looking something like "WeaponLevels" similar with ur plugin but is a death project D:
Thanks!
Permissions plz
I have fixed the incorrect crafting recipe and put it in an easier to view format, thank you for spotting the error! :D
@knarfyo
Yup, that worked :) thanks
Crafting for all basic weapons is as follows: DID DOD DGD it's Wrong. The correct Crafting is: DGD DOD DID
@Essentil
I have the same problem.
Hey,
I must be doing something wrong, I've installed the latest version of your plugin on my CB 1.7.2 server, in the console it says it's loaded, no errors are thrown but in-game I can't craft any of the weapons by using the recipe:
D I D
D O D
D G D
I've tried both ingots/blocks, I'm also opped on my server, I've tried with both only this plugin aswell as together with others, doesn't work either way.
Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
Look dude, I understand where you're coming from. Persoinally, I'm not a premium minecraft player and I feel like minecraft costs too much. But honestly what keeps 95% of servers up and running is donations. Without donations, servers do not stay up long. If server owners want to 'suck more money out of their patrons' where's the issue? It helps to keep servers alive. That's why we, as owners offer permissions based perks for donations, so that we can keep our servers up and running for as long as possible. I never intend to personally profit from the server, only to supply a good experience for those that play on my server. If I were to use this plugin at all on my server it will onyl be when there are permissions. I have specific classes. I don't want an elvish ranger using a warhammer... It just doesn't work or make sense. Adding permissions would allow me to customize that.
@mc_SWOOPY_sf
I'm sorry that I didn't add permissions, I just... I've always been such an adamant supporter of "if you bought Minecraft, you shouldn't have to pay extra to get access to plugins on a server." I wanted this to be sort of how Hexxit is, where every player can get fancy weapons if they do the hard work to get them, which is why I made the xp cost very high for them. Truthfully, I never thought anybody would actually give this plugin a try, given that I'm such a new developer and not well-known, and it's good to know that its functionality is usable and enjoyed, even if it's limited by my programming knowledge. I may eventually add permissions if I finally bring myself to update this, and with that I may add more weapons or specializations. As for the needing a brand new tool to craft it, does it need a brand new weapon just to use the /upgrade command? If so I'll fix that. However, the basic crafting to get the first level, where you put the diamonds, iron and gold around, I don't believe I'll change because most tool-involved crafting requires an undamaged tool. Plus there are anvils if all else fails.
One more thing, thank you for not being rude and arrogant like that one guy was, he came on here and berated me for not adding permissions and talked to me like I'm some sort of idiot.
First and foremost, thank you. This plugin seems to work as intended. A critique though, it seems that the weapon being used to craft the 'Omega' weapons has to be undamaged. It makes sense but I would suggest, if possible, to have an allowable range for utilizing 'damaged' weapons for crafting.
I also would like to jump on the boat for permissions. I understand your reasons and am not looking to persuade you. It is disappointing though for us owners running a class system where these would sit nicely as the top tier weapon set. It's your plugin, but I'm slightly discouraged to use it if I'm unable restrict when my players can access crafting these items.
Another suggestion, item enhancements? What I mean is configurable options to set the bonuses received by the weapons when upgrading.
Thanks again :D
@neeluamm
Sorry neelaum, I've been unable to duplicate the error. I wrote this and run it with the latest recommended build of craftbukkit, which is a 1.6.2 build. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance :(
@TheFlannelBeard
Thank you for your harsh and abusive words sir. I really appreciate that you took the time to leave such a long comment. As for your concerns, I'm sorry, but it outweighs the possibility that my plugin could be used as a donator perk. I know it's not ideal, but I really oppose that possibility. Besides, not only is this my first attempt at a published plugin, but I have no intention to "expand" in bukkit because I am mostly writing plugins for fun. I'm sorry it wasn't right for your server. Also, if you're worried about low ranks having it, then maybe your server takes too long to let players rank up, because these weapons should take a rather long time to acquire given their great expense.
And P.S., it's quite hypocritical to call somebody an elitist whilst simultaneously and arrogantly insisting that you are both an expert and highly experienced in your field. Good day.
