I'm surprised this hasn't been made already:
NoOrb!
All this plugin does is make it so that when a player/mob dies, the orbs get deleted almost instantly, virtually removing them from your game. No More Lag!
Download the plugin and put NoOrb.jar in your plugins folder, and then restart your server or type /reload in the console - It's that easy.
This was just a small 10 min project, but I decided to release it because I know some people will use it.
No commands, no permissions, no lag, no worries.

I did upload a file to the project, although for some reason it's stating that I haven't. Upon attempt to upload a file, it states I have already uploaded that file.. So.. Yeah, bukkitdev derped, decided to use mediafire, because I am busy with my other project at the moment.

Posted Sep 19, 2011You do know that dev bukkit allows you upload files to the project right. You don't need to use mediafire anymore, also it keeps a download count on your files.

Ah, sorry, would have, but I was asleep.. Also, I did upload a file here, and it SHOULD be here now, but for some reason it isn't. When I get home from school I'll upload it.

That's an interesting idea... So you're suggesting that when a player dies, I immediately despawn their orbs and restore the player's Exp? That might be necessary anyway in 1.9, so yeah, I might add that feature, although, I'd have to make it so that mobs still dropped orbs then... I might make it an option in the config on whether or not you want that mode.

Posted Sep 17, 2011great definitely needed by many.. however, any chance of a plugin making it so orbs don't even drop at all - like a plugin that allows players to keep their items on death.. they keep their orbs too.
