I've set the plugin to "abandoned" status myself (that's why there is a red box above this text), because it describes best the current status of this plugin. Thanks to everyone that supported me during the year of development, with money, bug reports or simply kind words.
What now?
NoCheat 3.5.0 no longer works with recent CraftBukkit build and you will no longer get any updates or support from me anymore.

Replacements for NoCheat
Check out these plugins.
NoCheat+
It is based on NoCheat's code and is therefore similar in how it works. But it also adds a ton of new features. You can find it HERE.
NoCheat Classic
It is the original NoCheat without any modifications beyond what is necessary to make it work on modern CraftBukkit versions. If you like NoCheat exactly the way it is, this may be what you are looking for. You can find it HERE.
AntiCheat
Is a new plugin that's built from scratch. That means it will behave and feel different to NoCheat. I'm sure the developer appreciates new users and bug reports. Get it HERE.
Make your own
Don't like the presented alternatives? You may just create your own plugin instead. The source code for NoCheat is HERE.

Posted Apr 4, 2012@Evenprime85 I know right! I am very displeased to see this succeeder go away that was competing with your plugin! It's a shame, however I've seen Nocheat+ around today and I'm hearing about essentials nocheat, so I think that you are getting what you want eventually :)

After all the promises that were made about how it's going to be an awesome alternative to NoCheat, that's pretty disappointing.

NoCheat can do such a thing. You just need to go to the config file, add the command on the bottom, then list it in the action.

Yes NoCheat can. It can do all the commands you wish, from lightning striking to kicking, jailing, and banning. However, I set it up on my friend's server and we got some problem with it. At first it worked really well, but then after a while newcomers always got jailed when they joined. I didn't think it was NoCheat's fault but my friend deleted all those jailing, banning commands anyway.

Posted Apr 3, 2012I have a plugin on my server which appears to auto ban people under certain circumstances... I'm not sure what those are, but while monitoring the console, all of a sudden someone is banned.
(By 'Console') for the reason 'Change Me'
Is there any chance it could be this plugin?

It seems people won't even try and just go by the version number written on the right side. So I just replaced that version number now.

You didn't do anything. It's the exact same plugin, you only included the source files and random junk files (e.g. your eclipse project file, which also contains your windows user name "Willie"). Why would I give the plugin to you if you are not capable of even correctly packing a .jar ?

It's open source, so you are free to do what you want. But I won't give away this page and I'd like you to change the name of the plugin, if you want to fork it.

Correct. But I still would like others to use a different name to make it clear that the developer is different and not working by my request/as my successor.

As I wrote above, he just released the exact same plugin. There are virtually no differences.

I won't name an official successor for NoCheat. I will however, when I see that someone (like the "Essentials" team) is serious about really improving NoCheat, endorse their version on this page, as soon as it gets published.
