What now?
NoCheat 3.5.0 no longer works with recent CraftBukkit build and you will no longer get any updates or support from me anymore.

NoCheat+
It is based on NoCheat's code and is therefore similar in how it works. But it also adds a ton of new features. You can find it HERE.
NoCheat Classic
It is the original NoCheat without any modifications beyond what is necessary to make it work on modern CraftBukkit versions. If you like NoCheat exactly the way it is, this may be what you are looking for. You can find it HERE.
AntiCheat
Is a new plugin that's built from scratch. That means it will behave and feel different to NoCheat. I'm sure the developer appreciates new users and bug reports. Get it HERE.
Make your own

Is the antispam feature compatible with HeroChat?

It seems that the effects of potions will be told to the player by the server. E.g. the player uses a potion, the server then decides what the effect is and will send the player e.g. the message "you can run now twice as fast for x seconds". I hope bukkit will provide means to receive those messages with plugins, such that I can adjust speed limits and such for that player for the given timeframe.
Out of interest, won't nocheat be broken really badly by 1.9 and potions? http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Brewing
It allows you to run faster, take less damage, jump higher. I can see it being a nightmare with nocheat due to the fact that with 32k potions, some of these will have huge effects on how the player moves. Unless bukkit adds a way for you to tell when someones under a potion, couldn't it just make these potions worthless as nocheat would block them? On the other hand, if nocheat could tell when someone was under a potion, couldn't they then use that to cheat as nocheat ignored them?
I'm just slightly worried about this next update as I cannot see everything really being alright. Best of luck.

Is possible. Add "kick" to the list of actions for spamming in the config.txt file of NoCheat. Like this:
chat.spam.actions.0 = "spamLog spamCancel kick"
If you need more control of how kicking should be done etc., you'll have to dig through http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/nocheat/pages/actions/ for instructions.
ok im sorry if you already have this posted somewhere but after researching for awhile i could not figure it out, basically i am trying to set up the anti spam feature of nocheat and i can't figure it out i want to kick people for spamming or something along those lines please let me know if this is even possible with nocheat or not because i am really really tired of spammers thanks

That feature is deactivated for everything that "insta-breaks", because the game client doesn't enforce the player to really look at blocks it is destroying, the way it does with non-"insta-breaking" blocks. Sadly there is no reliable way to really enforce the line of sight for "insta-breaking" blocks without producing lots of false positives.
In creative mode, all blocks break instantly, therefore NoCheat will ignore them. I can add an option to NoCheat that allows you to activate the check for insta-breaking blocks too, but you'll probably get a lot of people annoyed that way, when blocks keep reappearing for no apperent reason (as far as they can tell).
Limiting block breaking to line-of-sight doesn't seem to work. People are still able to use Creative "Nukers" to destroy all blocks within reach, destroying massive amounts of blocks.
@ray0911 I was able to sort out what the specific problem was. Look for plugins that are effectively trying to stop cheaters. Towny is one of them and was actually my specific problem. I haven't re-enabled NoCheat yet as Towny apparently does what I wanted NoCheat for in the first place. But I'll test it out later today.
The new one uses new permissions. Make sure your not using old ones.

The new nocheat appears to only work with "SuperPerms". If I'm wrong please let me know.
I've had to disable this plugin.. for some reason its just not working right. Only OP's have perms to fly. I have done everything right but for some reason, its just not working. I even add the permission node manually to a user and it won't work. I'm using PermissionsEX which supports superperms. But do I have to have super perms setup as well? I really dislike them... ALOT. It kind of annoys me when a developer uses them too <.<
How do I disable the creative flying. Unless they have the nocheat.checks.moving.flying permissions? I have looked don't see the setting anywhere.
The new 2.08 version has a command "/nocheat permlist playername [permission]" that should help you find out what permissions NoCheat really sees and uses. This should help you find out if and what is wrong with your permission setup, or if there really is a problem with NoCheat.

It allows flying at the speed that "creative" mode flying would allow. So there are still some speed limits left. There isn't much I can currently do for Hero skills. I'll try to look at the implementation of that plugin to see how it achieves what it does, but it may not be able to make it compatible with NoCheat.

I'll probably remove that check anyway with one of the next updates, because it never worked good enough imho. There are just too many corner cases that can't be correctly identified.

First of all, love the plugin, have been using it ever since I started my server in January.
Second, can you please explain how the
parameter works?
We are having a lot of trouble with Heroes skills that NoCheat picks up on (like forcepush, pull etc). Basically skills that will involve moving checks.
Now I don't want anybody to be able to fly but I would like to try and get these skills ignored by NoCheat. Any advice?

Hi. Im not the one who runs the server I play on. But everytime I sneak + jump it tp's me like I was cheating.
Other then that. Its working better then ever :D
Thats the only problem I can find with NoCheat atm.
