NetherControl
What is it?
NetherControl is a plugin that can control types of mobs that spawn in the Nether, this could be helpful for people who don't like normal mobs in the Nether due to the next update. NetherControl is also a nether generator. In the configuration you can set if you do not want glowstone in your Nether world.
How do I use the Generator?
First you would go into the config and change glowstone to false. Next delete you nether world from the server. Then start up the server and enjoy your new Nether World!

Hey Dragonkin01, I do need to do more documentation, and I will soon. When creating a video for this plugin I came across a lot of code errors and bugs. So I am going to look over the code and fix everything. Then I will come up with a tutorial explaining the plugin. Thanks for telling me it needs work, -Plugin_Maker

Posted Jun 19, 2013You really need to tell us more about your plugin in this description. Maybe give us a sneak-peek at the config file? I mean, you mentioned we have control over nether mob spawns, but I haven't any clue as to what degree of control this plugin grants us without more info. It makes it difficult to make intelligent suggestions for your plugin when I have to download and install it first just to know what it can do.
Stabbing in the dark, I have a fun idea for world generation in the nether. How about pockets of stagnant lava fully encapsulated in netherrack? It makes for an interesting new hazard, especially now that there are ores to mine in the nether as well. Heck, what if the nether quartz ore only spawned around these pockets, like a lava-filled geode? Or maybe the other way around, with the ore in the center of a lava bubble? It seems like a cool idea to me anyway.

There is a ton of lag in the nether, and that is why some servers don't even allow players to go to the nether. Your idea of generating the nether witout flowing lava is smart. Fyi I am working on adding ores into the nether. The only thing that might be a problem is bukkit hasn't updated so I can't test or release. :( But I will work on the code for both those ideas. in fact, there's no decent nether generation control plugin at the moment, and THAT IS A HUGE PROBLEM.
AS you know, Nether always laggs. flowing lava, large distances atc - all this makes nether the most laggy environment of all.
If you could imagine some ways of fixing it through custom generation, that would be great. E.g. generating nether with no flowing lava in it. More experienced users can tell more about ways of optimising the nether.
