What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install spigot 1368, 1.7.5
2. Install the latest MyWorlds, either recommended or dev
3. Attempt to join the server
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Players should be able to join. Instead, their minecraft displays an internal java error, and the server outputs this massive error.
What version of the product are you using?
My_Worlds v1.67 using BKCommonLib v1.58-SNAPSHOT
Do you have an error log of what happened?
Please provide any additional information below.
This error is server-breaking. Our server relies nearly solely on myworlds, and a fix is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance!
Confirming this as well.
Confirming this once again.
Thanks for the confirmations.
Bergerkiller hasn't been online since April 9th. I hope he is available soon, as this is literally server-breaking, and no one has been able to join for over a week. Anyone found a temporary solution to this, or will we have to wait it out?
I'm not sure to be honest with you, Wizardgreatar.
I have a network of multiple servers all running on the same spigot.jar - two of my 6 servers run MyWorlds and BKCommonLib. One of them works fine, the other presents the error that I have displayed in my previous comment. The strange thing is, both BKCommonLib and MyWorlds are the same versions on both servers yet the error is only present on one of them (they are both using the same spigot build). I'm currently searching for a way to resolve it, I'll let you know of my findings if I am successful.
I discovered this:
- Downgrading MyWorlds (to v1.6.2): Can login, for me it won't load the world though, and for me it wipes inventories.
- Using current version (v1.6.7): Can't login, world is fine and able to load, inventories unknown as I cannot login to test it.
Thanks a lot Cal_Of_Duty. That's very odd. Are there any differences in the servers aside from the MyWorlds, spigot and BKCommonLib versions?
It appears that we will just have to wait for bergerkiller to return to Bukkit.
Let us know if you find anything else!
No problem, and yeah there are quite a few differences as one is a SkyBlock-style server and the other a PvP server, however (as I find the uSkyBlock generator to work better for me than the CleanRoom generator), both worlds in the servers use the uSkyBlock generator which is a similarity.
Spent another few hours looking for a resolution, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find one. It'd be easier for me if I hadn't got the risk of losing 30,000+ players' data, and backups aren't an option at the moment due to things I am doing with my dedicated server...I'll keep on searching though...unfortunately it is looking as though an update is the required fix.
Yeah, I suppose we'll just have to wait. This problem hurts my server pretty badly, as we are a new server, and rely on new players and the small player base we possess. Being down for over 10 days is not good for any server, but much less a new one.
I'll do some more testing if I get the chance, and let you know what I find.
I am the same here. My Server has been down due to the loss of multiworlds. I tried out Multiverse but, I couldn't get it to function. Infact, it broke my logging plugin trying to get it working.
I have sent a PM to lenis0012 and am still waiting for a response. Hopefully, he may be able to fix it but, for now, I'm going to have to look for yet another alternative as with the Server being down for so long, something has to be done.
I finally resorted yesterday to switching to multiverse totally, as their dev builds appear to work with the newer spigot versions.
I fully understand the sheer frustration that accompanies having your server down for extended periods of time due to factors outside of your control. If I can help you in any way, please let me know!
I also resorted to using Multiworld for the time being as it seems the most similar to MyWorlds. I will be moving back to My Worlds once it is all fixed though as it does offer a few more features.
I know its been a while, but i know why this problem exists. One of the reflection methods wasn't updated.
