MultiverseHardcore - Temporary and permanent Death Bans!
MultiverseHardcore
Minecraft Version: 1.16
With this plugin, you can prevent your players from entering a world if they die in it.
Deathbans only affect the worlds you choose and can be temporary or permanent.
is required to use this plugin.
Installation
- Install Multiverse-Core on your server.
- Download the JAR file and put it on your Minecraft server
plugins
folder. - Restart the server.
Basic usage
After you've successfully installed the plugin, log in to your server and enter the following command:
/mvhc create hardcore
If everything went well, a Multiverse world called hardcore
will have been created. Type /mv list
or /mvhc worlds
and you should see the name of your new world.
Teleport to your new Hardcore world using /mv tp hardcore
and you'll see a warning message. Be careful, if you die you won't be able to play in the world again!
For more options when creating a world (temporary bans, respawn world, Nether, The End...) check the command section.
Commands
Create a Hardcore world
With this command, you can create a default Multiverse world in your server and make it Hardcore.
/mvhc create <world> [spectator_mode] [create_nether] [create_end] [ban_ops] [ban_forever] [ban_length] [include_nether] [include_end] [respawn_world]
Options:
- world: Name of the world you want to create
- spectator_mode (Optional): Set to true if you want players who die to be put on spectator mode. If set to false, they will be kicked out of the world.
- create_nether (Optional): Set to true if you want to create a Nether for the world. You may need Multiverse-Netherportals for your Nether to work.
- create_end (Optional): Same as create_nether but with The End.
- ban_ops (Optional): Set to false if you don't want OPs to be banned if they die.
- ban_forever (Optional): Set to true to make the death ban permanent.
- ban_length (Optional): Death ban length (in seconds). If ban_forever is set to true, this value doesn't matter.
- include_nether (Optional): Set to true if you want your players to be death banned in the main world if they die in the Nether. Also, if set to true, players who die on the main world won't be able to play in the Nether.
- include_end (Optional): Same as include_nether but with The End.
- respawn_world (Optional): Name of the respawn world (this is required if spectator_mode is set to false).
Make a world Hardcore
Use this command if you already have a world created and want to make it Hardcore.
/mvhc makehc <world> [spectator_mode] [ban_ops] [ban_forever] [ban_length] [include_nether] [include_end] [respawn_world]
The options are all explained in the previous command.

Great now you need to fix the spectator mode when you die can barley quit server on menu and can change back to surival or use command love the spec idea is cooler to see what happen still thx
Hey y'all, I'm having a little bit of trouble with the Syntax to set the options for new and converted hardcore worlds.
Any chance I could get an explainer to set the options, or a working example command?
In reply to PsychicDolphinGarage:
Hi,
Let's assume that you want to create a new hardcore world with the following options:
You would then need to use the following command:
So basically you need to set the options to true or false and set the ban length to a number in seconds.
I hope this helped you understand the syntax of the create and makehc commands.
I keep getting this set of errors or something similar whenever a player changes worlds without using vanilla portals or teleport commands. This happens with both Multiverse-Portals and Dimensions.
Update: ran the server without MVHC; it's definitely been crashing my server (no errors, just memory leaks it looks like)

Now me too, dont know how to fix. Maybe lluiscamino can do a fix for it.
In reply to Instancius:
I will try to reproduce the bug.
In the meantime, there's a new version of the plugin that solves some bugs and adds an unban command available on the Spigot webpage (on Bukkit it's still under review)
Hey,
I was wondering what is the command for unbanning people in the world?
Thank you.
In reply to Forge_User_06531479:
There's not a command for unbanning people in a world, you have to manually edit the players.yml file. It may be added in a future version of the plugin.
In reply to lluiscamino:
Hello i am the same guy i have updated my version though the command you have given in the description is not valid?
In reply to RagemalikLIVE:
Have you updated to version 1.0.2? Unfortunately, Bukkit hasn't let me publish the plugin update yet, but you can find it on Spigot and on GitHub.
Works great on 1.16.4. Thanks for this plugin. I hope you will continue it in the future :)
A notice to everyone who want to know how to configure ban_length.
The ban_length is in miliseconds. You can use google to convert it correctly. For example: 30 minutes are 1800000 miliseconds.

Thanks for your comment!
