About MV2
Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with NetherPortals.
In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but *not bloated*! Multiverse provides the easiest to use world management solution for your Minecraft server, big or small, and with great addons like Portals and NetherPortals, what's not to love!
Multiverse is back! Is your server, a Multiverse?
Multiverse-NetherPortals Features
- Allow a nether per real world!
- Let nether portals built in a world go to a specific world
- Custom World Scaling when using NetherPortals! (All types of worlds, normal, skylands and nether supported! Even Custom generators!)
So long Awesome Builds
We use to have this notion of an "Awesome Build" or AB which was suppose to be thought of like Bukkit's Recommended Build system. Awesome Builds were ones that we put extra testing into and were meant to be very stable. Unfortunately there will be no more Awesome Builds. Our development team doesn't have the time to devote to the project that we use to. As such, we've moved to a new build system which you'll notice in the new version numbering. Our release builds here should be stable; Lots of people have had time to vet them for us while they were only development builds. While we don't have much time to work on the project, we do still take critical bugs very seriously and try to get them fixed as quickly as possible.
In reply to finiexblack:
As weird as it sounds, even though this plugin is advertised as working with CraftBukkit, im able to get it to work on spigot 1.11 (with some issues of course) but im sure I can figure those out.
This loads and works fine but wen I go into a portal in a world I linked with another world, it doesn't TP me: https://github.com/Multiverse/Multiverse-NetherPortals/issues/129
Please help.
I love this plugin, right now i have 6 worlds and the server is going without any lag.
But i have one problem when im using Multiverse Nether Portals, if i trow items and push a mob thru example a nether portal the item and the mob disappears. Anyone else have this problem and have anyone solved it?
There is a bug where when ever I open a Creative inventory or a chest I get teleported to my Survival world. if you could please help that would be great.
Any update on when this will be fixed? or even if it will?
If you have no plans to fix it please just say so i can stop keep checking back and tell my players so they stop bugging me
Cheers

This compat with Spigot 1.10?
Hi I love you plugin I do have a small suggestion for it and that is to make the portals similar to the ones in Minecraft story mode if possible
also when i link the nether portal to the neather world it spawns me 200 blocks under ground
Is there anyway to make the nether portals spawn another in the other nether? I Want nether portals to work 100% fine but when i like them they are all broken and dont spawn, etc and dont act like norma portals
Hi,
I'm using the latest nether portals plugin, but when I go through the nether portal it takes some health from me and it makes that 'donk' sound when you do.
Any ideas please?
Cheers
2.5.0 snapshot, with Spigot 1.9.4
Unlike vanilla, if you do not get out of the portal on arriving at the other side, it will send you right back. You can just go back and forth forever if you don't leave the portal. This is OK, except in creative, when portals are instant. If you step into a portal, good luck getting out of the loop of going back and forth over and over again.
Portals that you have just arrived at need to not be activated until you step out of it and back into it
I haven't had the issues @sleite has been having, everyone's been arriving into the respective nethers safely, so far.
The problem I'm having is that it seems to be interfering with WormholeXTreme. Without mvnp installed, I can have as many sign gates as I need, without any issues. Once I drop mvnp into the plugins & restart, I can have up to 4, and it doesn't matter which worlds they're scattered among, or even just on the same world. Once it hits 4-6 sign gates, the signs on those gates don't update anymore. They still WORK, but the signs don't update.
This is with the latest multiverse-core, multiverse-netherportals, and wormholextreme. If I remove mvnp, all sign gates' signs work normally again.
Is it compatible with spigot 1.9.2 or 1.9.4?
@Marrarus
Giving players tp command is not an option.
I've been running my server as a hobby server for over 5 years and never experience this issue. Lag for 2-3 players at a time also not an issue.
Been trying for over a month - still can't figure out the problem. I've all but give up on it. I just tell my players not to go to the nether. For the most part, none of them mind too much. I assume the problem will eventually fix itself with either a new relase of Spiggot, or a new release of Multiverse.
Until them I came up with another work-around:
Since I already use these two plug-ins: Citizens 2, and Shopkeepers. I just added one more plug-in called Netherstar. The Shopkeeper sells the Netherstar item for a few gold coins. When the player 'uses' the Netherstar item, they are teleported back to spawn.
This seems to be a good alternative for now.
Cheers.
