MultiInv
What is MultiInv
MultiInv is a plugin that gives players a separate inventory for every different world running on the server. You can share inventories over chosen worlds and some players can be ignored entirely. With this power it is possible to have multiple worlds running on one server, but keeping them totally segregated from one another.
MultiInv can also separate health over certain worlds allowing for total separations of a world on a server.
If MultiInv refuses to work and you can't change inventories, it's because you have the wrong version of the TuxTwoLib or forgot to deny yourself the permission multiinv.exempt!
Update for UUIDs and 1.7.9 (there will be no support for 1.7.8 or below due to game breaking bugs) are here! Download will be available as soon as Bukkit Dev approves it.
MultiInv and MobArena are currently not compatible! Make sure users can only join a mob arena from the same world group!
Starting with MultiInv 3.2.1 we now require the library TuxTwoLib to maintain compatibility across various minecraft versions

Forums/Problems
The forums for this plugin (at the top of the page) are the best place to go if you have any questions that aren't just general comments (such as "I hat you" or "I love you"). There I can see which problems have been replied too and who still needs help.
Using MultiInv with BungeeCord
Since BungeeCord requires servers to be in offline mode it's sometimes hard to acquire a reliable UUID if Spigot/BungeeCord isn't configured correctly. Here are the settings you will need to change:
In the BungeeCord config.yml make sure ip_forward is set to true
On the server in the spigot.yml make sure bungeecord is set to true
By setting these two options BungeeCord will be able to pass the correct UUID to the servers. Please note that if you are sharing inventories across multiple servers that this feature is still in beta and may not always work.
Commands
- /multiinv reload - Reloads config files.
- /multiinv import - Imports flat files into a mysql database.
- /multiinv mvimport - Imports Multiverse-Inventories into MultiInv, with the database that you have selected. (You will need to have the Multiverse-Inventories plugin installed when doing the import, just make sure to remove it afterwards)
- /multiinv miimport - Imports WorldInventories into MultiInv.
- /multiinv mcimport - Import Minecraft player files into MultiInv. (Only useful when you've got existing player data and you are enabling the SaveInventoryOnQuit option)
- /multiinv mcexport - Exports MultiInv player data for the default world into the default world in Minecraft format.
Permissions
- multiinv.reload - Permission to use the reload command
- multiinv.import - Permission to use the import command
- multiinv.mvimport - Permission to use the mvimport command
- multiinv.mcimport - Permission to use the mcimport command
- multiinv.mcexport - Permission to use the mcexport command
- multiinv.exempt - Exempts player from inventory switch (If your inventory is not changing, deny yourself this permission in your permissions manager!!!!)
Configuration
^That's a link up there
Updating from MultiInv 2.x to 3.x
- Delete your old config.yml file in the plugins/MultiInv directory
- Start the server with the new plugin
- Rename the Worlds folder to Groups under the plugins/MultiInv directory.
- Rename shares.yml to groups.yml
- Cut the creativeGroups section out of groups.yml and paste it at the end of config.yml
- Edit the config.yml to your prefrences
- do: /multiinv reload
- If you are moving to the mysql database do: /multiinv import
- You're done, enjoy!

Please note, that while I (Tux2) am maintaining this plugin you must file bug reports under the tickets section. If you're having a problem, try replicating it in the latest version of MultiInv as it could already be fixed! Also, if you want your problem to be addressed please make sure to include the MultiInv version, the TuxTwoLib version, your config.yml and groups.yml files contents as well, (even if it is a comment asking for help) If you do not follow these guidelines your comment may be deleted without warning!

@efstajas
The enchantment bug is in bukkit, not this plugin.
@GravelSocks
Works amazing for me! :)
Hi, I have a legitimate survival world where the gamemode should be set to survival, and the inventory should be separate from the other worlds, but I prefer other plugins for the other worlds to set gamemode, etc. Is there any way to disable features on certain worlds?
@GravelSocks
Im using this successfully with CB 1546. You should include more details and someone might be able to help you.
Concept of plugin is great, but it doesn't work. Inventory is not maintained between mode switches or worlds as others have reported. Also, inventory is not cleared/set properly when joining a world. Hope you can fix it!! Really want this to work!! :)
please fix the enchantment- bug. :(
@Folas1337
Actually there is a feature for this. You can configure the groups in plugins/MultiInv/shares.yml.
But as Shooty said this plugIn has problems with exp and enchantments.
Is there any way to make some groups which always have the same inventory? So you can get 3 maps which you have the same inventory in and 3 other maps you have another inventory in. So 2 inventories for each 3 maps?
This is sooooo needed by me and no other plugin does this at the moment I think. It would be such a great advantage ;)
@Pluckerpluck
Actually all multinv plugins had bug (Enchants + xp) :( plz update
-Wrong-
Players become invincible on 1.0 when swapping between creative and survival due to this plugin, no health damage is registered, and even when the plugin is removed, the problem persists. I am unsure how to cure the problem, as deleting the worlds, and all the configs, etc, didn't fix it.
I'm aware this is for bukkit 1337, so i'm hoping this'll get fixed when it upgrades! :)
Bound to get issues but just to let you know..

This happend teleported to the ender.
have you done anything to fix the fact that people will not switch inventories between worlds?
@nicquehen
Not sure if this can be fixed very easily. Maybe try to find a plugin that always teleports you to a "main world" on disconnect. Though that could be annoying. I guess these plugins could load inventories on login, but I think that would have to be optional. I'll suggest it to Drayshak as he's more active (I believe)
I found a bug (already same with worldinventories) is very huge bug for me i explain :
I have some world which close some day (i use the multiverse commande /mv unload to close the world)
If some member are in this world, no problem the inventory switch on the default server.
But if some member disconnect (before the mv unload) on the close world and theyre are reconnecting, they have keep the inventory :/
i need to find a solution : -clearinventory when a player disconnect on this world (but which plugin can do that xD ? ) or -tp the player on disconnect (but which plugin can do that xD ? )
I am amazingly busy atm and can't seem to find what's wrong with the plugin... in general it needs a re-write and it's hard for me to maintain at the moment.
Either temporarily or permanently I suggest using "World Inventories" which pretty much is the same as this but it's newer and uses some nicer bukkit methods that have recently been implemented. The code is also much cleaner and the dev is currently very active.
Unless I get a chance to re-write this I suggest you use that (unless this works fine for you).
I have found two bugs with the plugin.
1.When people die and come back to life, their inventory comes along with them. Then when they go to the the items they lost when the died they realize they have double the items.
2.Also when people travel between different worlds ,or they use warp commands there inventory gets cleared randomly (not every time).
Hope you can solve this problem, I enjoy this plugin because it is simple, but it tends to be a bit buggy.
how do i control what a world is(ie creative survival)
@Pluckerpluck
I have come across a bug with the plugin which will ruin the servers economy once players work it out. I have a main survival world and a secondary creative world. I have it set up so the inventories don't carry out. However there is a way for the players to bring inventory over the worlds.
If they hold items in their hotbar while in the creative mode. Then they go into the survival world. If they attempt to enter the creative world in any way that won't let them then they end up with the creative modes inventory in the survival world.
This includes the players trying to teleport into the Creative world but being denied by Multiverse for not having enough money. Also if they try to /res tp <resname>, this teleports a player to a residence using the residence plugin. If it is in a world and they dont have the ability to enter it will give them their Creative mode inventory in the survival world.
Thanks Andrew
You're awesome and this plugin is awesome. It's really really important for a large number of servers. You should think about getting some other developers who help coding. Thanks! You're doing a great job for the community! :)
