A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

@holynexus
Well, I can tell you that the permissions you need are (craft name).pilot, (craft name).move, and (craft name).rotate.
So if you have a galley.craft and the "name" in the craft file is "galley", then you would need galley.pilot, galley.move, and galley.rotate. It sounds like the .pilot must already be working, so we need to look at the others.
I'm not familiar with PermissionsBukkit, but if you PM me your permissions file I will take a look at it. The only other thing to check is to make sure the "name" in your craft file is correct.
Hello there,
Probably a very stupid question (I ask a lot of them) but I'm just clueless as to how to config permissions. I have a couple of custom types (galley and frigate) that I added, but non-OPs can't use them. (They can activate the craft by clicking on it, but not move it)
Where do I put the permission nodes exactly? I use PermissionsBukkit, and have put the proper commands in the "default" group.
Other than that, very pleased with the plugin, it is excellent and honestly what I've been wanting for a long long time.
@Loraxe42
Hi,
The changes and suggestions there sound great, some more than others, of course.
As for the "ability to create which .craft, i have a permissions+buypem (using in game currency) plugins so that people can buy movecraft.<craft>.* permissions per each .craft.
A separate cruise speed.... PLEASE, setting normal ships to less that 4 is too slow for precisions movement and it's borderline too fast for people to be able to move, act or even turn off the cruise sign... using /release seams to be the only solution at the moment.
I feel like a child waiting for Christmas now :p
@WolfeBersahd
Actually, if you are curious you can look at upcoming features and bug fixes here:
https://github.com/msummers123/Movecraft-3/issues
Here is a short list:
Ability to control who can create which crafts (basically the right to place the command sign)
A separate cruisespeed (not just cruiseskipblocks)
Ability to cruise up and down
And, of course, numerous bug fixes.
@FlOppythp
I felt your post did not add to the conversation, so I removed it. In the future please refrain from pressuring for updates, pressuring to have "your feature" put in, and disparaging the developers.
Frankly, I expected more from an "Author" of other plugins. I note none of them have been updated since April. If you would like to respond in PM's that would be fine. But stop flaming this comment board.
For the record, I have never received any donations whatsoever.
Hi again,
Overall as it is right now Movecraft is great, okay so a small hiccup with overallsinkpercent, nothing server owners can't work around.
Great work you two, thanks for keeping this alive.
One question, what will Movecraft 4 bring, what new features, etc? Since Sponge's API won't be out till November and a Sponge server will be a while after that, I'm curious to know the future plans for Movecraft, maybe a little teaser?
Did you get it to work?
I can't get this to work. I looked at the files, downloaded "Movecraft V 3.1.X54 for 1.7.10". I ran my server but when I try to right click an airskiff sign with a skiff, I get:
[20:22:12 ERROR]: Could not pass event PlayerInteractEvent to Movecraft v3.1.X54
org.bukkit.event.EventException
at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader$1.execute(JavaPluginLoader.java:294) ~[craftbukkit.jar:git-Bukkit-1.7.9-R0.2-20-g0b2ed13-b3108jnks] .... etc etc
I tried several Bukkit versions. I noticed when I ran craftbukkit-1.7.10-R0.1-20140808.005431-8.jar the server version info said:
This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-1.7.9-R0.2-20-g0b2ed13-b3108jnks (MC: 1.7.10) (Implementing API version 1.7.10-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)
That says both 1.7.9 and 1.7.10. I assume the MC version is what the files section "game version" needs to match, right? How do I make this work, or do I have the wrong bukkit?
I wanted this plugin for better combat than autocraft replies, but I can't get it to work. The only setup guides I can find are for older versions or spiggot, and I am running Bukkit. The types folder is empty, I can't adjust cruise speed or fuel settings in the config(because they aren't there) and there are no numbers in the localisation file. If you could at least tell me how to make ship types it would be greatly appreciated. Thank.

Ok, yeah looks like there is a bug with overallSinkPercent. It didn't show up in my tests because it only becomes an issue when there is lag on the server. I apologize but I can't get it fixed right now due to the re-write. So for now I'd recommend not using overallSinkPercent.
@Loraxe42
I have been having the same problems! It turned out to be a problem with overallSinkPercent and sinkPercent both being on, overallSinkPercent didn't work at all for me, so I removed that from my .craft files and ships stopped sinking after they were piloted.
@inxiya
Interesting. There is supposed to be code to prevent it from checking for sinking while the ship is being moved, which is what you describe sounds like.
Could you PM me your .craft file so I can run some tests? Also if anyone else has seen this behavior, please let me know.
I do have quite a few things on my plate at the moment, so I apologize in advance if I don't respond as rapidly as I normally do.
not sure if a bug but my ships now suddenly sink even when undamaged... this only started after I updated to movecraft 1.7.10
@FlOppythp
Loraxe has always been polite to members and has made useful and informative documentation and videos.
On the other hand I find your tone and attitude genuinely offensive. You are not paying for anyone's work here, you are receiving a free service and free assistance based out of other people's generosity and time. You would do well to remember that and reevaluate your tone.
More importantly, you stated this: "I know because of ht bukkit trouble, that's really bad if you were not lazy, you wuold work on it now and send it in private to some folks who wants it.". As the original developer I find it a travesty that you would suggest circumventing a DCMA or good practise not only to undermine the strength of the statement that Wolverness made but also to belittle the fantastic determination of modders such as Loraxe. Again see the earlier point that this is not paid work, and certainly noone is under any obligation or even suggestion, explicit or otherwise, to circumvent licenses or situational adversity. My personal stance with Movecraft 4 has been to wait for Sponge Powered to stabilise. Why? Because as a modder who does these things for fun, I feel no benefit in wasting my time on the now dead bukkit. If you want Loraxe to distribute a version to you and circumvent these difficulties perhaps you should compensate, or at least complement, him for his efforts to do so instead of calling him lazy.
@FlOppythp
Did you just call me lazy?
It's all in the documentation. Cruise will be hard to use if you have a high "speed". It might not be a good fit for a tank. Rmove signs are described in the documentation under "Methods of Control / Command Signs". Look for "Relative Move". Honestly if you didn't even know about the helm sign you clearly didn't look at tutorials or read the documentation. If English is not your first language, then I could understand and I apologize.
For subcrafts / turrets, this video might help:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbOezZS06oU
You will need the turret.craft file.
@FlOppythp
Ah, yes, harvesting only applies to hovercraft / cars (IE: when canhover is set to 1). You rotate the tank/car using the [helm] sign just like any other craft. To prevent people from going directly to the sides, use sign only based controls. Disable the pilot tool by setting it to something unobtainable (9999 will work). Then use rmove and cruise signs to actually control the thing.
Also, if you want you can make a turret that rotates independently of the tank, but moves along with it. Thats what the subcraft rotate sign is for. Can't do anything about sounds for now. Might do something in the future, but it would be down the road a bit.
@FlOppythp
Yeah, some blocks are still not supported. Heads are one of them.
You'll have to send me your craft file so I can look at the issue with harvesting. Send it in a PM, I don't want to clutter up the main thread here if we don't have to.
As far as additional features, I'm afraid due to the legal drama with Bukkit, development is currently at a standstill. Once the APIs come out for 1.8 I might be able to implement that. Fill out a feature request "issue" here:
https://github.com/msummers123/Movecraft-3/issues
So I can track it.
