Commands
Here is a list of commands. Parameter in round brackets () means that parameter is optional. Parameter in square brackets [] means that parameter is required.
/hunt
Sign up for the hunt, if sign up is enabled.
/huntscore (player/command) (number)
There are 3 uses of this command:
- . Ability to check your or someone else's high score. Just type `/huntscore` without parameters for your high score or `/huntscore (player name)` for someone else's high score
- . Ability to check your rank. Just type `/huntscore rank`.
- . Ability to check high scores of top players. Just type `/huntscore top`. This will return best 5 players. But you can see more by typing a number. For example `/huntscore top 10` will show top 10 players.
/huntstart (world)
Manually start a hunt. If you are running more than one world, you must also specify in which world you want to start hunt. Manually started hunt will be running until you stop it manually.
/huntstatus
Will display status of the hunt in world you are. Information will also include your score and time left for the night (if enabled in config)
/huntstop (world)
Manually stop a hunt. If you are running more than one world, you must also specify in which world you want to stop hunt.
/hunttele
This command will teleport player to the hunt zone if is enabled. If a player used this command to get to hunt zone, he will be automatically teleported back to his location when hunt will end.
/huntzone
A command that allows admins to easily select hunt zone border and teleport point.
Firstly, I would like to thank you for creating this mod. It's very entertaining, but it's also unintrusive. I appreciate the way that it is structured and I love the ease with which it works.
However, I have few issues. Firstly, since the point at which I decided to use the "/time set" command on the server to return the server to daytime, the hunts do not begin on time even if I restart the server. I am unsure what to do.
Secondly, in an effort to fix the first issue, I manually started a hunt at about the appropriate time. I started the hunt using "/huntstart" without inputting a world name because I only have one world. However, when I try to end the hunt using "/huntstop", it demands a world name. The name of the world is the default name: "World One". When I type "/huntstop World One", it states that World One does not exist. No matter what world name I try, the hunt will not end. I would very much appreciate help with these issues. Thanks.
@REALDrummer
I'm not the author of the plug-in, but I have a feeling the " " (space) in the name of your world might be preventing /huntstop from working.
Try renaming your world (folder) to "worldone". Update your server.properties file appropriately.
See if that works.
Does this plugin not support colorcodes? I added &6 to all the messages and they are still white. Very important because regular chat is white so it makes it very confusing. I also have am having issues with the rewards? I haven't looked into it deeply, but they weren't working. Does Monster Hunt work on 1.4.4?
Thanks
Ty so much for updating. i have an issue. i don't seem to be able to give money rewards. i want for every point you get a dollar. so all i should have to put in reward for first place is '0 r1' right?

probably should make a ticket i suppose lol.
Just figured it out this is the Verygames, net connection string example to help others out
Database: UseMySQL: true
MySQLConn: jdbc:mysql://sql-3.verygames.net:3306/DATABASE_NAME_HERE
MySQLUsername: USER_NAME
MySQLPassword: PASSWORD
Hope it helps other since the developer didn't give a guide on understanding jdbc connections.
But great and fun plugin TY
