I'm currently using MCPC-Plus/MCPC+ R0.4 (MCPC is a mix of Spigot, Bukkit, and Forge) and MobCatcher R0.2 (Have not used it before), along with these mods (There are two servers, but the issue is the same on both)..
I installed the plugin a week or so ago, but only just recently noticed.. When using creative spawn eggs, I'm unable to create baby animals by clicking on other animals or spawn in animals normally - the fireball sound plays, when 'throwing' eggs is enabled, the egg is thrown (Not sure if that's supposed to happen, the description of your plugin says that it doesn't affect creative players), and Mo' Creatures eggs only spawn in one type of a mob, when they're supposed to spawn in multiple types.
If the issue with Mo' Creatures is a compatibility issue and not a plugin issue, and compatibility can't be added, it's not a big deal .. I can use silkspawners to change spawners to mo creatures mobs, when needed.. But I wanted to let you know about that issue, as well as the vanilla-ey issues, because it is a little annoying.
MobCatcher definitely doesn't support MoCreatures. I tried supporting it in the past, but it can't understand the IDs of mobs that my bukkit-only version doesn't have.
You can't make baby mobs that way with spawn eggs in MobCatcher. I felt that feature had to be removed since the point of the plugin is to legitimize the whole egg system.
Is there any way at all you could prevent spawn eggs that're used in creative from only spawning in one type of mob? Say with zombies, it only ever spawns in the same zombie ... So if you're looking to get a zombie that will pick things up, it's impossible to do with spawn eggs, you have to make a dark room and filter out the other mobs..
As for the baby mob feature, could there be an on/off config option put in? Or a permission?
Does disabling mobcatcher in your world allow you to do those things as expected in vanilla?
If so, that's probably the best thing. Just disable the plugin for your world in the config when you need to mess with that stuff. What you're asking for is more work than you would think it would be, lol.
Also, I could probably make the 'no data' zombies have the same chance to be able to pick up items as a regular spawn egg. That's just something I overlooked. In order to get MobCatcher to work at all I have to essentially hijack the entire spawn egg system and replace the mobs with my own. So everything normally done by minecraft, I have to emulate.
I'm gonna put that in its own ticket. That would probably clear up a few bugs and save me some work in the future.
No, it still overrides all mob-egg spawning..
I don't doubt that it'd be a lot of work.. If it's not feasible, it's not feasible, and people will just have to deal with me restarting the server if I need to use normal spawn eggs, again.
That'd be great.. Could you do the same with skeletons/wither skeletons?
@SilverKytten: Go
mk. I'll fix it then.
The solution that I have in mind should fix every mob, not just zombies.
You're awesome. :)
