This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
This plugin's functionality has been incorporated into Mobs. Please switch to Mobs instead of this one (Mobs is much better anyway :) )
The three most recent plugins I've written - Mob Drops, Mob Spawns, and Mob Spawner - have all had a common theme, and a lot of the code was duplicated between them.
There were also a couple of good suggestions posted in the comments which were much easier (or only possible) within one plugin.
So I decided to do it and release Mobs (currently waiting approval if you can't see the page).
Consequently, the three plugins mentioned at the top of this post will be left to rot and all further development will be on Mobs.
The good news is that there is nothing that can't be done in Mobs that could be in these three plugins, and already a few new features - unique mobs that will drop special items, mobs spawning other mobs when killed, wool colours for sheep and probably more I forgot.
There were a couple of small changes to the config file from these plugins to Mobs so please read the section on the main page (I think the documentation is a bit better over there too!)
I’d like to try this mod but the first generated yml file doesn’t contain any mob configuration, only a note referring to this page for details and tutorial. Should this generate a default mob configuration? I can’t seem to find a good example.
@krizma
You'd need to post the whole console error but from looking at your config you have custom names there (ward_disk etc), which currently aren't supported.
If i kill a Mob i will get xyz Credits.
This will only be .... 10 lines of code :-)
BUT it will make Mob Drops use an API, so it's not a selfservice plugin anymore.
If you will add it, take Vault! It's the future and veeeeery easy to use :-)
wheres the dowload

Hi I just downloaded this but when I run bukkit rb 1.0.1-r1 this add on comes up as error occured while enabling mob drops (is it up to date?) I downloaded v1.3 for cb 1.0.1r1. put it in plugins folder and made config file. mobs: name: creeper conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 100 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: glowstone player: holding: - name: swords enchantments: - effect: damage_all world: raining: yes times: - min: 12000 name: creeper conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: cat_disk name: enderman conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: ward_disk name: skeleton conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: mall_disk name: ghast conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: 11_disk name: silverfish conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: chirp_disk name: spider conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: far_disk name: zombie conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: blocks_disk name: blaze conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: mellohi_disk name: wolf conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: stal_disk name: slime conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: strad_disk name: villager conditions: - outcome: drop_chances: - percent: 20 replace_drops: yes drops: - name: ward_disk any ideas on how to fix this?
@coldandtired
you can do custom ids with a plugin like spoutmaterials and jukebukkit and pavement
@Teser999 I changed it from IDs to names because I was fed up with dealing with the data values :) I'll add them back as an alternative.
Regarding custom IDs I don't know if that's possible. I'll have a look. Can you tell me the name of the plugin which creates custom items?
@AddicusT Boats and minecarts aren't mobs, so they wouldn't work with this plugin.
I want boats so if a boat crashes it breaks but when you break it it drops as a boat.
Awsome, but can you add boat and minecart support. Now some monsters drop cash (gold nuggets) for what i use for money.
Can i use item id's instead of full item names? Can i use my own item id's for use with other plugins that let me create new items?
I think he means:

@Alkiir Do you mean something like a condition that if the killing player has a certain amount of money the mob will drop a certain item?
Hi
Is it possible to inlude an economy support?
Great plugg!
Thanks
Updated to 1.3.
New stuff
Also improved the docs a bit, adding a few examples here.
@TerraNetworkOrg All right, done : http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mob-spawns/
Give it a go and let me know what you think.
I don't know what to say ... :D
@TerraNetworkOrg It's almost finished - probably be released tonight. :)
Do you found some time to have a look into the spawn-control plugin?
There is a full example here.
This shows all the possibilities for one single condition (and probably will never be true). The idea is to delete the parts you don't need.
If you let me know what conditions you want I'll create a config for you.
Also, I recommend Geany for editing YAML files, there's an option to turn on lines to show the hierarchy which make life easier.
