MiningCash
MiningCash
MiningCash is a simple plugin that allows your users to mine ores and receive money. The plugin grants dynamic amounts of money and the values can change (currently from initial configuration and a random number generator). More information can be found on my wiki.
Installation
Drop the .jar file into your plugins directory, grant miningcash.reward to the users/groups that should profit from mining and reload the server.
Usage
If you have the permission, start mining! You will receive cash per ore mined.
Update...
Now I actually get 1.700.000 per Coal ore :s
Have anyone had this plugin suddenly change the money you get from ores..
A few days ago We all got like 0.1 - 0.3 (money) from mining a coal ore..
And last night, we started getting around 600.000 from coal !!
I havent done anything with the setup, and did not delete anything..
Last day/night I did Nothing to the server, it just suddenly changed "on its own" :s
Using FE btw ;)
@1337minecrafer
What economy plugin are you using?
Not working with the latest version of bukkit and Vault. It just doesn't recognise it Vault.
@Tirco
Are you sure? I have already fixed that.
I will have to disable this on my server until it's been updated so people don't get money from player-placed ores. If you mine iron ores, and place them again, you still get money...
Other than that i like the idea of this plugin, and will use it when that is fixed ;)

Defaults from config.yml.
Also, in that case shut the server down, remove mineralValues.dat from the plugin folder and restart the server.
Yeah i went into the configs manually to set it. Cant do /mining clear since the server is running McMMO which uses the command /mining. Right now for a test i put 100.0 but i still only get like 15 cents when i mine coal.
What i wanted was Coal to be 1 dollar each, Iron 5, gold 20, diamond 50 etc. What current values do you personally use?
@SICC805
The trickery involving quotients is a bit unclear, and I'll go ahead and clear it up on the wiki eventually.
Here is how quotients are calculated:
ore value (basically, the random price set at one time, initially the config.yml values, say 1.0) * base-quotient (let's say 0.96) + a random double divided by 8 (say 0.1) * bonus quotient (in our case, 1.0) and then a random addition/subtraction done (with random numbers (hopefully) ceiled to the current value to the reward at this point in time). Thus, this user earns 1.06. I'm not counting the worldguard-related things in the equation.
To boil down to a equation you can do yourself with just Python, assuming a random base-quotient, bonus-quotient at 1.0 and nothing else:
Also, did you try setting the variables manually (editing the config.yml manually and /reload) and/or using /mining clear?
So i figured out my problems with my permissions so im able to edit configs now. But the thing is, when i change the numbers in the config file it doesn't set them. So for example, i set coal to 1 dollar, but when i mine it, i still only get the default couple cents.
@SICC805
This is Fe Economy, I just use Fe.
Which Economy plugin do you use? Not sure what the FE abbreviation stands for. Though it would be cool if you could get this to work with CraftConomy.
Thanks for all the replies man, means alot.
YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@SICC805
I found the issue.
MiningCash is disabling itself since CraftConomy is enabled after Vault is enabled, and MiningCash is enabling itself after WorldGuard and Vault, but before CraftConomy. My suggestion would be to use an alternative economy system.
And why did I bring WorldGuard into the equation? 0.3.1 will include a fix to really make WorldGuard optional. We'll see about it.
@SICC805
This is starting to turn strange. I'll be pushing a new version 0.3.1 in order to rectify the issue with config later, but not now.
As for the issue with CraftConomy, that is something I will need to look more into - my server uses Fe and it seems to work just fine.
Resolved my problem, but now i have ran into another(hope im not getting annoying lol).
Before when i was using this plugin, i was using a older version of CraftConomy 3.0.0c. The plugin worked fine, but i wasn't able to edit the configs like i said. That was resolved, but with that older version of CC, it didn't work with chest shop. So i updated CC to the newest version so the server i help run can use ChestShop. But every since i updated CC, MineingCash doesn't work.
At first, i was using the version before you fixed the continuously mining ores bug but then just recently i switched to your new version, and it still doesn't work. But this time, when i reload the server after dragging the jar into the plugins folder, it doesn't create any folder like it did before with the configs to change the ores. When i do /plugins MineingCash is red, indicating it doesn't work. Haven't change anything else but updating CC.
0.3 has a fix for infinite money from placing ores and mining them continuously.
@SICC805
I have the wiki. Also, make sure you stop your server beforehand or use the /mining command.
Ok cool, thanks for the reply. One more thing, im using FileZilla but when i try and change the values for what you get for mining ores, it doesn't save and just goes back to default. I was wondering too, is there a way to add other data values for people to earn money for mining? Like for example, getting money for mining stone? Would that be something you would have to add, or would i be able to simple add in a line for stone.
@SICC805
Yes, the silk touch dup bug is known, I'm fixing it.
As for economy plugins, anything supported by Vault ought to work; I use Fe in my testing but it should work just as well with iConomy.
