Mining Machine is an original plugin that is still in Beta so feel free to give me any suggestions. For any issues with the plugin, please submit a ticket. Enjoy!
I have put many hours of work into this plugin and it is my hope than anyone who enjoys the features it brings to their server will donate.
@photocritic
As of version 0.7, the mining machine will not work when mining into a protected region. Your regions are safe.
@PumasCast
I am not sure. Is it not creating the item at all or it says you do not have permission to create the item?
Is this grief tool? My claim region safe?
Are there any other plugins that this plugin needs to use in order to be able to craft this item. I am trying to craft the item right now and it is not doing anything. Please tell me if another plugin would fix this issue.
Just released version 0.7. Fixes many bugs and adds new features such as support for blocklogging/protection plugins.
@RetroRodent
I believe I set it so pistons are one of the blocks the machine reads as "unmineable". And yes I saw the error in my code on the /mm give command. Will fix that in the next update as well. Thanks a lot!
@Quiltar
The other machine you are talking about is not actually mining, the piston is just being turned off and on by a different redstone current as this should happen with vanilla minecraft. Thanks for your support!
Love it! Are you looking further into what kinds of blocks it can mine, and how many thrusts it takes to mine them?
Couple of bug reports:
Watch out for being able to mine other mining machines though, on one hand it can be used as an infinite piston exploit (as long as you have a diamond pick and time) and on the other, I'm pretty sure it leaves that machine in the config files.
I'm still investigating this one, but it looks like I can't block users from the "/mm give" command. I'm using PermissionsBukkit and have group perms set to to "miningmachine.give: false" yet they and I can still get freebies.
Thanks!
@Quiltar
Also, the machine stops every once-in-a-while. It still has fuel, and it runs fine if you "turn it on and off". Is this intentional ?
EDIT 1 : Found a bug. if you place two mining machines next to each other, one pointing downwards, and the other in any direction -except- down, then you only need to fuel one of them. I.E, if the piston on the second machine is adjacent to the first machines obsidian\lever block, then the first machine powers both. I'm guessing this is because the piston is powered by the same lever due to the way redstone power works in minecraft at the moment?
NOTE/EDIT 2 : The second machines piston is powered, but it does not mine\collect anything, just the piston going in and out.
I can provide a screenshot via dropbox if you need it.
Cheers!
Great plugin!
Is there any chance of you making this compatible with the pipe systems from the Craftbook plugin?
Being able to hook the mining machine up to a pipe system would be awesome. That would enable a resource rich player to hook up XX miners to a basic pipe network and get all the mined resources piped straight to <insert preferred location here!>
A quick rundown off the pipe system if you don't know about it :
chest - sticky piston - glass - normal piston - chest.
The source chest has a sticky piston facing it (adjacent). The sticky piston then has glass connected to its back end. Run said glass "pipe" to preferred location. Place a normal piston on the end, and then place an "end" chest next to its front.
When the sticky piston is activated with a signal, it "pumps" items from the source chest to the end chest.
So if it is possible to make the mining machine inventory act like a "chest" then it should (?) be compatible?
Anyways, Great plugin! -Quiltar
@Sarham
Cool! Let me know what you think!
@Pyro2285
Ya I noticed that too. Will fix in next beta update.
Testing this out tonight... looks cool!
Great plugin works like a charm, one my Admin notice that you can only use Oak planks to build the machine, Jungle planks do not work not sure about Birch planks yet.
@M3DDLER
Thanks. I will take care of that.
Hi
I am getting the following errors now starting to flash up in console.

Nice plugin, i know there have been other plugins that do things like this.
You can attach redstone to it and make it run faster! Watch near the end of my vid for an example.

Very cool. Can't wait for the block logger so i can use it with worldguard. Nice job.
@SnowGears
no problem lol. I don't figure a ton of people with this plugin will be using more mobs but it is always good to have at least one alternative just in case.
