Minigames
== NOTICE == 9 Aug 2016 ==
As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

++Update Note Aug 2017++
Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.
The files section contains various version downloads OR you can dowload them : - here
Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.

- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.
Features:
- Prizes for completing a Minigame
- Economy support (Requires Vault)
- All command configuration for creating Minigames
- Completely customisable, lots of settings to create your own styled Minigame.
- Ability to create multiple loadouts
- Inventory saving
- XP saving
- Minigame regeneration (slightly limited)
- Timers
- An automated update checker for OP's (Can be turned off in the main config by setting updateChecker to false)
- SQL completion data storage for websites or more informative data (Requires SQLibrary)
- And lots more!
Click here for videos of this plugin in action.
Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU

Basic Region & Nodes Tutorial

I have added snow_block to whitelist and also set to block break to true and still can't break a break snow_blocks with the shovel. I can kill the other player, is there a way to stop that? I just realized I was not able to set /mg set Spleef region select 1 or 2. is this the reason I can't break blocks. I was able to get the blocks to break if player was set to creative mode but they don't die in the lava.
@Ironic8b49
to get the tool you must first do /mg tool and thatl give you a blaze rod named minigame tool. afterwards you need to mark it for a specific minigame with /mg tool minigame Spleef. shift + right click to enter the GUI and edit the tool to your liking or of what you want to use the tool for. In your case, player spawning. Set the tool to player spawn and make sure on the bottom of the GUI it is marked for team 'None' and now go into the arena and mark the places and how ever you please. if you need to set the lobby change the tool to the lobby selection and do the same with that. Now so that everyone respawns correctly make sure you have a spectator spawn, end spawn, and quit spawn. Now to setup the minigame. go into the minigame gui and go to whitelist/blacklist and add the snowblock, if that is what you want them to break, into the open area. this makes it so they can only break this block. Now for the default loadouts. give yourself a shovel of your choice and place it into the default loadout. Thats pretty much it.
Hi. I've been using the Treasure Hunt portion of this plugin for a few months, and since the most recent update I'm unable to add items to the Rewards list through the GUI - I'm only able to do it while using in-game commands. This means that any 'unusual' items (enchanted items and such) are unable to be added. I was wondering if this is something that others have been having an issue with, or if I've managed to make a mistake with the set-up?
Since there isn't team chat (or I just missed it somehow) is there any way i could build against this to create a team chat addon plugin? Possibly a way to add it as a dependency in maven and have it listen to minigame events? If not, I could go through it in a very roundabout way, but I think it would be a cool idea.
@Cmoor
Ok got the /mg edit Spleef to work but can't seem to get the /mg tool minigame Spleef to work. Spleef is the name of my arena. Game seems to work fine up to the point of spawning in the spleef arena. I have not shovel and can't even break a block with bare hand.
@Ironic8b49
just go to /mg edit Spleef and a GUI will pop up. Make sure it is set to multiplayer and game type set to free for all. The presets are currently not working, probably something not setup correctly but for spleef minigames just set the lives to 1. Make sure to set the lobby with the minigame tool (/mg tool minigame (your_minigame_here_without_parenthesis)) as well as multiple start positions in the spleef area. Don't want everyone spawning on the same spot haha good luck! Message me if you need further help, I wouldn't mind helping you out.
I'm new to this plugin and need a how to setup Tutorial. Can't seem to find one up to date. I set the lobby for my spleef mingame and when I join game it places me on floor of the spleef arena. I type in /minigame set Spleef type FREE_FOR_ALL and I get this Error: Invalid minigame type!. I'm sure other things are not set right.
@Cmoor
Thanks it worked
@winspeednl
what you wanna do is /mg edit <minigame_name> and a GUI will pop up. BTW make sure you have the selected items on hand before doing this. Then go to loadouts. Edit the default loadout. drag and drop the items in the correct place. here is the site to show you where the items should go to auto equip armor: Loadouts Hope that helps, the wiki tells you quite a few things but be careful, some of the things are not quite updated yet.
How can i edit the loadout? i want the players to spawn with a bow and arrows
i am using minigames 1.7
minigame type: multiplayer (team deathmatch)
/minigame set <Minigame_Name> loadout add <Item_Name OR ItemID> [quantity] -l <Loadout_Name> (<-Does not work)
@shades161
You can probably do this with a separate plugin. basically a shop or custom GUI shop plugin. Have it to where once this item is bought it gives them perms to the loadout so that player can choose it in the minigame it is allowed in. You can also use a plugin called CommandSigns where you place commands into a sign but the sign can say whatever you want. and upon click it'll charge them however much for a permission.
Love this plugin, but one question. Is there a way to use economy to charge for a load out? Such as, I want a default loadout, but then use ingame currency to pay for better loadouts.
@AutoCat1000
yeah its a known issue for that preset to fail. all you need to do is make the settings to one life, and set it to multiplayer. thats basically what lms preset is. hope this helped! Oh also its empty because it is an invalid format so preloading it will cause the error and then remove the info in that preset. so it used to be full but the plugin removed it for bad formatting. I havent played around with the presets or even touch them so id suggest not to mess with them. as you can see it deletes it all if done wrong x]
@Icefang23
Have you tried manually setting the spawn with the minigame wand (blaze rod by default)? if you have teams set the correct team. if not just have it on None. If this doesn't help try sending us your minigame config (not plugin config) so we can try and see if it is setup correctly.
for some reason, when I have spawn nodes inside buildings players are spawning on top of them, not in them. can someone help me fix this issue? thanks
Hello, awesome people.
For some reason, when I load up the plugin, the spleef preset is empty. When I put in the source code, the next time I fire it up, the preset is empty once again.
When I do the /mgm set <Minigame> preset spleef, it says, "An internal error occured when attempting to perform this command" (That's because the preset is empty.)
All of the other presets have their code.
Please fix!
Thanks, -AutoCat
@frostflame101
Hello. In the new Minigames update, they've removed the LMS minigame type. If you type in /mgm set Spleef type MULTIPLAYER, and then /mgm set Spleef lives 1, it will be the equivalent to an LMS minigame.
Happy to help.
@Icefang23
Its increase_damage Use this on his wiki: http://mineauz.com.au/minigames/wiki/index.php?title=Potion_Effects
can someone help with potion effects, I'm trying to add strength but it keeps saying its not a potion name when it is....
I made a survival games arena/minigame and it's working great! Only one question:
How do I toggle needing to eat in the minigames? The food bar never drops for a player during participating in a minigame.
(EDIT: I have found the solution. Go to loadouts > default > loadout settings > hunger)
Two questions;
Can I set it up so players enter a game with their own gear?
Additionally can I make it so players enter a game with a predefined inventory, but allow them to keep loot they find in chests after exiting/winning? (optionally they do not keep the upon start gear?)
