[Abandoned] MinecartMania Reborn
Minecart Mania 2.0 is a total minecart overhaul for fun and profit.
With MCM you can:
- Jump and ramp minecarts through the air
- Travel at ludicrous speeds (no derailing!)
- Set destinations for each cart and route them automatically through intersections.
- Route minecarts based on their type, contents or direction.
- Use block or signs to change speed, physics, and other properties on the fly.
- Use minecarts to farm wheat, lumber and other crops, harvest them and place them in chests
- Use advanced sensors to trigger redstone circuits based on the type, contents and direction of minecarts.

MinecarftMania has been almost totally re-written Please read Whats new in v2 for the current list of changes from the original.

Is it intentional that when a player passes a Set Station sign in a cart, the same station will be assigned in every other cart the player enters on any other track?
EDIT: It looks like when a cart passes a Set Station sign, only the player is assigned the destination. The cart is unaffected; After pushing a cart past a Set Station sign assigning it the destination "test", when it ran by a station with the rule "st-test:D", the cart was not destroyed like it should be.
With Minecart Mania my server crashed very often. At first the player is sinking in the ground, some moments later, the server crashed with the error message: Connection Lost Internal exception: Java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
Have someone the same problems and what could I do to prevent these problems?
I did a test with a small loop track, I put a detector rail that send a signal with a delay to an obsidian on the track. The cart is supposed to activate the detector, get caught on the obsidian and released with a 2 or 3s delay and the cycle starts again.
If I stay near the track it works, but if I go far away and I come back, the repeaters are stuck which means the chunk has been unloaded.
@gamoul
How are you testing it, exactly? It's working for me.
KeepChunksLoaded still doesn't work with Beta4.
@jrbudda
yes the plugin loads fine. no errors, its really odd
@WardenWolf1982
(TRIGGERON) [previous dir]
@LPGweldor
No but that's a great suggestion. You could also take away the ability to create Alter Range signs via permissions.
Hi again, sorry for all my questions, but is there a way to limit the range for Automations in the config? Cause I would hate ppl abusing this to set a huge range and auto chop a whole jungle forest or something :D
Like there is a DefaultFarmingRange: 4, is there anyway to set a MaxFarmingRange or something?
I'm sorry, I stoped server, replaced beta3 with beta4. Everything works fine now.
@jrbudda
I just need it to launch in its previous direction. Here is the current config:
How would I need to change it to make it launch only in the original direction?
@xemnes1
Is the plugin loading correctly?
in the latest version, my minecarts no longer spawn when i power a diamond block with track above it. is there a reason why?
@esxasperator
Looks like you're doing a /reload, does it still do that when you stop and start the server? Also please use a site like pastebin in the future for error messages as long as that one.
@WardenWolf1982
Yes the old [launch dir] signs that worked in conjunction with blocks no longer work like that. What you can do is either change the obsidian (in the config.yml) or copy it to a new material and use [launch2] or [previous dir2] the '2' actions should always launch in the opposite direction as their normal counterparts. If you need finer control than that (and want to launch via redstone) you can make 4 blocks, 1 for each direction.
I am having problems specifying the launch direction for obsidian via sign. Traditional signs like [Launch South] don't seem to work anymore. Is there something I'm doing wrong or need to specify in the config?
@simlhawk
No I do not believe that was ever an option in MCM. I will add it to the suggestions for future versions :)
Does this plugin have the ability to be disabled in other worlds?
@jrbudda
How do you easily change 100 destinations? Is there a system to make the minecart find the shortest route to a station?
@AndreasB86
Hmm, probably not. I'm not really looking to majorly change the way MCM stations work. It could be done without lag by caching the Rules in memory, but I think the current system is sufficient.
How about adding MySQL support for the junction signs? So you can name a junction like "junction1" and the plugin will check mysql for what to do..
Or would that lag it badly?
@LPGweldor
No sorry, 1.5.1 was not documented very well, the wiki that had all the information went down a long time ago. Most of the sign syntax did not change, so much of what is on the page for 2.0 is valid, at least for signs that existed in 1.5.1, If you have a specific question I can look it up for you.
@elkidz
Hmm that's some error from the ebean database engine in craftbukkit. it's looking for some file and not finding it. FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\Daniel Ribeiro\Desktop\Servidor Minecraft - Cópia\craftbukkit.jar (O sistema não conseguiu localizar o caminho especificado) at
