I'm not really working on this project anymore, there are more things I want to do. If you want a magic plugin, you better look elsewhere. There's some other great magic plugins. Maybe in the future when I have more time I'll implement the current batch of suggestions.
@karl1889
i agree. i really don't like the idea of having to pay materials to cast magic and it would be great to have the ability to change the cost to xp. the more you level up, the more you can cast spells. i would also like to see a bit of elemental variations of spells.
This looks dandy. I have one request, though. Would it be possible to make each spell cost a configurable amount of experience orbs to cast? I've been looking for a good magic-based use of enchantment levels, especially being that my users typically just start to ignore them once they have equipment they favor.
Thanks.
Great Plugin! Is there a way where you can make ANYYYYY item with magic, like you use a config and write down the item, write down what it can do and write down teh cooldown, is there a way to do that? If you can accomplish that, that would be GREAT, for everyone and for the popularity of this plugin as well.
That's really a good plugin. Easy and lite. And I think using magic through typing spell is cool.
Some advise:
1.cost something
2.permissions to each spell, like: magica.use.cast.rero
And maybe sorting spells by type is useful if you are going to add more spell, like
hand a book, type:
atk-arrow
atk-fireball
atk-thunder
move-tp
move-pass (pass through wall
It's a promising plugin, keep going.
how does this work
@drkmage02
Sorry about that! I fixed it now, should work better.
@drkmage02
That is weird... something probably happened startup, maybe a bad version. I thought I checked.
... I put in the new v0.02 beta and neither the old spells nor the book is working or doing anything at all. The only thing i got to work was /magica

In the future, using spells will cost items or mana. I am sort of bound to the Harry Potter-style spell casting, and am trying to craft wands somehow.
@MDCreator
far more spells? The book only has about 6 right now, right?
My favorite is the lightning, just hate that if you kill something exclusively with it and nothing else, that it doesn't count as you killing it and it doesn't drop exp or anything else. Not to sure how i feel about the regen and heal either, They're kind of OP, a full heal and full hunger heal as well as an extinguish? lol
Only other thing that would make it more convenient to me would be the ability to bind the spells to multiple apparatus. Such as time to the clock, healing to a feather or something. or letting us bind them to what we want. Maybe even adding in your own wand crafting and you can have a different one for each wand. =D
idk. haha Just some ideas I had, Love the plugin though. Keep up the great work!
Already done, unless you are talking about a SuperPerms-incompatible system. Check the post for the prerelease, or otherwise found here.
add bukkitpermissions.
@Nutiler
LOL! Permissions are in the next update, and I'm pushing the first unstable version right now. Lots of people request more flexibility with spell requirements(as you have suggested), and I am considering that.
@drkmage02 I've added far more spells(remember to hold the book and right click!) in the next update. I am pushing the alpha right now.
I love this, but is there just the Nil and Bynus spells right now? Cannot find any others... =(
This is pretty epic glad to see you starting to work on this again!
I'm not going to put this on my server untill permissions are up because spamming fireballs is too good! xD
Some ideas: Cool downs for spells ingredients *flint and steel x1 + gun powder x3 * to cast the fireball.
I'm just about finished with uploading the first 'stable' build. We have to wait for it to be approved, first.
will this work with 1.2.5, too?
If you think this is interesting, you'll be loving Avatar soon xD
