Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!
- Uses Soulbound You can download the soulbound plugin for added functionality! Visit the plugin page here.
How it works:
Important Notes:
- Requires KBPL
- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:
Enchantments
Potion Types
- You can find the color codes here.
Permissions:
- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list
Requesting new features:
If this plugin is missing that certain special feature, bribe me and I will gladly work on it!
While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.
Hello, I will pay for you the plugin developer to make us a items list with hungergames/survival games based items/weapons/armour if this is possible?
I looking to use this plugin for world chest generation, but dont know how to set it up :(
hey, i only get dyed leather when i set the loot to leather_helmet etc. data value is 0, i've tried 1 and 100, still dyed black :( Is it possible to change it?
Edit: Tried the color settings, wanted the original leather color so i typed in 255 255 255, now its gray... which is teh default leather rgb code?
Thank you for clarifying. Is there a way to make the chests unique for each player? Like I want player 1 to be able to loot it every 12 hours, but if he does player 2 can still come and his chest will have items in it.
@Doner144
That would be line three. Set a number, in minutes.
Hey, your plugin is very nice, but how can I set a time for respawning the random loot?! I read all your instructions etc., but nothing worked. Pls leave me a example^^
@RealDobby
That would be 'thorns'. Added to the list of enchantments now
@Jknies
There's not supposed to be any brackets :/
You're probably confusing the format of lore with name by doing this:
instead you should be doing this:
Made it a bit clearer in the configuration file page
What is the enchantment node for Thorns on armour? :)
Is there a way to remove the [ and ] around the Item name? I want to use colors on the name and it is really annoying.
@eeBz
Item id's already work :)
Unfortunately I've been told multiple times how other plugins such as DayZ that add completely new items wont work :/
I think it might have to do with most of those plugins having huge id's (such as 10059728). Probably caused by the way the config is read, but I can't say for sure since I haven't tried it myself.
@broede
One thing that I noticed recently is that when a chest has a list of items that exceed the max amount of items a chest can hold (this is including its inheritance), the min-max spawn amounts really start acting up. Just a heads up, I'll have this fixed for the next release.
@XxkmachoxX
Thanks, I googled this like crazy for a few days and never found anything that was helpful. I'll look at that later today.
Any word on the sign fixes? They've been making my loot tables wonky, and our economy is just flooded lately.
Any plans for adding itemID's? We run a custom mod pack through tekkit, and I've been looking for a mod exactly like this that will allow us to spawn in items from the mods as rewards.
I think ItemID's would make this insanely flexible, and allow for better dungeon spawns!
@broede
I went ahead and I checked the config for dynmap-residence myself. There's an option in the config for hidden residences that I found on the default config provided in the description, it says:
Just know that this is an option in the config.yml in the dynmap-residence plugin, not residence!
@XxkmachoxX
The only things I know of are the hidden flag for residences and /dynmap hide. The former sets the residence hidden from using the /res listall function and the latter simply hides your character from Dynmap. I know of no way that Dynmap or Residence allows a residence to be hidden.
Is there a way for durability on the items?
@broede
Actually I remember that residence had an option to hide certain regions from dynmap (Or maybe it was dynmap that hid regions?). I can't say for sure as I have not used the plugin for a while. I just know you could hide them in the config of one of the two plugins.
@bknysnake
Adding another protection plugin is not necessary, we already use Residence. But using Residence on a chest I want hidden is counterproductive, because Dynmap shows all residences. I'd like to be able to put easter egg chests throughout the world that can't be broken by players, and the fun is sapped out of it when their locations are given away.
corraddave:
The plugin isn't broken, nor is the config, you simply don't understand it. You place timers per list in the config.yml located at plugins/loot. you set lists in the plugins/loot/lists, in the lists you can set chances of items spawning. Look back a couple of pages and you'll see I posted some examples and such you can work from.
broede: You can use worldguard, it's simple to set up, so just install worldedit/worldguard and protect it with that, you are going to have to toggle the chest flag so that people can interact with it, but not break it.
