kewel, thanks for the update! one problem though... the launcher didnt update
Ok beta update is out
Most should work the only things I know may have issues are flowers, saplings, grass, cactus, glass, leaves, and glowstone. the rest may have breaks in placement but should stay functioning.
NOTE: to place ladders, pressure pads, and rails place them on a block then remove the block.
Also I have begun a discussion with redsgreens about implamentation of my plugin.
hmmm flowers and saplings are kinda the most important thing for me but im glad you are trying
looks like i may have to drop flowers and saplings because no event is being called when you try to place them on non build able blocks I will release with what I have if I cant find anything
ok once flowers and saplings are fixed today ill release a beta
Also keep an eye out for a new updater for the beta system
also not that i will have a beta that will allow you to update your servers and keep things working due to the crap I have to fix some things might not be peaceable or be hard to place as i have to write a whole new algorithmic for detecting ladder placement. No matter what ill have a release today available for download but i will not push an update trough the updater until everything is fixed.
I feel you unfortunately I cant release the code but if someone here is willing to help with development I can grant you access to the source code and set up a platform for publishing due to the auto update system I will publish and help with code I will contact the developer for many small tweaks to see if he wants to team up. I understand your frustration if you'd like to help please pm me.
@Thumbz707
you mean an API? mojang is already on that =S
@xemnes1
Yeah, I'm in that boat too. But, I don't want to go down without a fight. I think we should collectively ask either Bukkit or Mojang to make plugins like this easier to create and less prone to breaking.
From what I hear, the way this one works is by using something of a back door. So, maybe if we all ask really nicely, we can get a front door for these things and make it so what should be a simple plugin won't be such a mess.
Pass the code to http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/manysmalltweaks/
Or try to get him to help with LivingBuildings. Since they essentially do the exact same thing.
ok im sorry, but this is getting silly =S i completely understand that life comes before something you do for others for free.... but i cant have a single plugin which is so important for interior design flexibility inhibit my servers up time =S i think its best i just ditch living building entirely but doing so means i cant go back to it as i cant have this happen again for my servers community, other things such as rails are fine as they stay as long as they arent touched but flowers and saplings which is more commonly found in our interiors will just dissipate as they are somehow affected by server ticks instead of block updates and this is the most important thing. i think you should either consider releasing the source code or pass it on to another dev with more time on their hands.
To follow development just go here
I found the cause of pressure pads and trap doors not working once I have it fixed i will fix rails then release it as a beta.
Here is where I'm at with the 1.3.2 update.
So you can see I have a lot to do. If i decide to drop this plugin it wont be till after this update and i will took for another developer who is capable to work on the plugin and i will continue to help as needed.
I don't know honestly I'm thinking about dropping this plugin its hard to work on this plugin because everything broke and I don't have time every day with school.
@bgsteiner
any eta? =S my server is still on 1.2.5 because of this plugin
I'v hit a wall with a couple things the next release will more than likely be a beta for 1.3.2 where some features will be messed up but should still keep things from falling down when interacted with but ill include a list of things that done work correctly.
if interacted with blocks would fall
@bgsteiner
I don't remember, will blocks break/fall if the plugin isn't installed? Curious because my players (and I) are getting anxious to update our server to 1.3.x.
