KeepItems
KeepItems is a lightweight plugin that allows you to force specific user groups to keep their items, even when they attempt to get rid of them.
It is based on a request on the BukkitDev forums.
Features
Scope of what the plugin is capable of affecting (you can turn each one on and off using permissions):
- Prevent loss of items on death
- KeepItems.ondeath (default: false)
- Prevent dropping items with Q key
- KeepItems.invdrop (default: false)
- Prevent access to chests
- KeepItems.chestaccess (default: false)
- Prevent access to furnaces
- KeepItems.furnace (default: false)
- Prevent access to dispensers
- KeepItems.dispenser (default: false)
- Prevent access to brewing stands
- KeepItems.brewingstand (default: false)
This plugin requires permissions to be set, otherwise it will do nothing by default.
Permissions Note
If any of your player groups are given the *.* permission, you must manually negate the permissions shown above in order to prevent those players from being affected. This is how the Bukkit permissions system works, and is not a bug with Bukkit nor the plugin.

Posted Nov 9, 2014Problem with OPS and FURNACES
Ops Cannot use furnaces but others can.
You are prevented from accessing furnaces.
I have heard it could be keepinv doing this. Chests work fine though.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

With the new minecraft version (and the bukkit dev-versions) there seem to be some problems. XP on my server (bukkit build #2953) will be kept but items just drop on the floor. Permissions are set as in the previous versions.
I'd be so happy to see an update to this plugin especially as there are no other plugins which had these features packed into one plugin. No current "alike plugins" also.

Posted Jun 19, 2013Okay so i really like this plugin but im still having the problem with my Owner and Admin Ranks. They Do have the - '*' permission node so i did negate all of the permissions and i am using PermissionsEX so this is what it looks like: Someone please help me

Posted Jun 15, 2013I have essentials for my Bukkit 1.5.2 server and it worked great until i added this plugin. What I am trying to do is to make Certain players spawn back with their items. After i did some coding it worked out but All the players can no longer use commands from the essentials. Help?

Posted Jun 13, 2013Hello, I'm having some troubles with KeepItems working on 1.5.2.
I'm using Bukkit v.#2785 - 1.5.2-R0.2 (Development) and I keep getting an error everytime I run the server.

You need to negate the permissions from yourself, not add them.
So if you give yourself the "*.*" permission, you must also negate the ondeath permission by adding this to yourself: "-KeepItems.ondeath". Notice the minus sign before it.
That will prevent that permission node from taking effect on you.

Posted Jun 10, 2013I really like this plugin its just i am the Owner of my server and in my permissionsex file for my group i have the - "*" and ive added all of the permission nodes above to the owner group yet i still cant open chest and furnaces etc... someone please help

Do you know how to reproduce it (i.e. how the player is actually dying)?
Please create a ticket at http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-mods/keepitems/tickets/ and list as Defect. Explain as best you can the steps needed to reproduce the error, and I'll look into fixing it ASAP.

Posted Jun 9, 2013can you add multiworld support. i love this plugin but i think it needs multiworld support because on my server i have hunger games and a normal survival place........... i want people to keep there items in the village but not when they are playing hunger games. i think that multiworld support would be a really good feture for you to add. tell me if u are gona do it plz.
