Item Lore Stats
Thanks to BrightDanny for the logo.
Add functioning stats to your items to allow players to increase their player stats. Any gear/weapons that contain the correct lore that the plugin can detect (list below) will affect the wearer/wielder. ItemLoreStats helps you create an epic RPG experience. Will add more stats/options based on requests.
Description
This is the Item Lore Stats plugin you can add to your server to get players farming/trading/looting gear to get the perfect stats for their character. Item Lore Stats offers random and unique loot tables for all of the default mobs and custom mobs. WorldGuard 6+ is required for WorldGuard support. Vault is required for currency support.
I will continue to support this and add many more features. If you have any suggestions please let me know through a ticket.
Installation and configuration
Place the ItemLoreStats.jar into your plugins directory. Then all you need to do is run your server.
Commands
/ils | Show a list of available commands. |
/ils version | Show the version of Item Lore Stats that's running. |
/ils reload | Reload the Item Lore Stats config. |
/ils stats | Will display the total stats of your armour and item in your hand. |

The health is calculated using (distance(when spawned) x multiplier) + base health = new health. The damage is calculated using (distance x multiplier) = new damage. Mobs will also receive a level based on the distance they are from the location that the command is entered. By default a mobs level will increase every 10 blocks but this can be changed by using the command below. |
/ils blocksPerLevel <number> | ILS will increase the mobs level every X blocks from wherever the /ils setMultiplier command was entered. |
/ils lore <player_name> <line#> <text> | Adds or sets the lore line to the item currently in the players main hand. If you don't include a <player_name> it will apply it to your own item in your main hand. <player_name> must be online. |

Permissions
Negate these to restrict ops.
- ils.admin
description: Required for the /ils createlore, /ils name, /ils setMultiplier and /ils lore commands.
default: op - ils.use.<Class_Name>
description: This allows gear to be restricted to specific classes or groups that have the required permission. If an item contains the lore Class: Mage then that player would need the ils.use.Mage permission.
default: op
- ils.commandlist
description: This allows the player to see the ILS command list.

Recommended plugins
These are some plugins I recommend using with Item Lore Stats;
- BarAPI
This will allow the players health to be displayed visually as the boss bar like shown in the video here.
- AttributeHider
This will hide default attributes such as "+X attack damage" from swords.
- ProtocolLib
Adds extra support to ItemLoreStats. Creating a smoother, more enjoyable experience for the players.

Metrics
As of v1.759 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server www.mcstats.org/. You can disable it by setting "opt-out" to true in \plugins\PluginMetrics\config.yml.
Auto-checking for updates
As of v2.18 this plugin will check for updates using Curse's ServerMods API. It always checks the current version with the version on BukkitDev and will notify ops or any players/groups with the ils.admin permission that there is an update available. It will never automatically download an update without the user typing /ils update. All of the updates are downloaded from BukkitDev. These checks can be disabled in the config.yml by setting checkForUpdates to false.

@MikeGold
Yea they were just some basic commands to get people started. Probably will tidy them up in the next update.
I know. It's nothing major, but if the user is using unsupported command, plugin should just write something like "wrong syntax" or "type /ils help" and not spam console with errors.
It's just a detail.
I spent all day today creating items with lore. But it was well worth it. Your plugin with
Surprise Bags http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/surprise-bags/
and
Lores http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/lores/
gives an amazing fun result for my server.
@MikeGold
For the command to add it to items it would be &a&oLife Steal: 100% but in the config it would be lifeStealHeal: 1.0
the % on the weapons is the chance it will steal life and the value in the config is the amount it will steal.
And the error you are getting is because it either should be /ils createlore or /ils lore <line#> <text>
One more quick question in relation to your last post. So when I'm setting up lifesteal, I should do it like that: - '§a§oLife Steal: 100%' or like that: - '§a§oLife Steal: 1.0' ? Because according to your page, first one is right, but according to your post the 2nd one is.
Enjoy the read ;]
@Kel007 The life steal chance is the % visible in the tooltip and the amount they steal is based on the amount in the config so 0.15 will convert 15% of the damage done into a heal.
At the moment the critical damage is double the damage they would have normally hit for.
The armour is how much of the incoming damage is removed so if you had 45% armour and I hit you for 100 then the actual damage you would receive would be about 65 depending on the type of armour you're wearing.
Health regen is a % of your life.
At 100 hp and the healthscale of 10 sets 20 hp to 1 heart and displays 5 full hearts. So at 20 hp you would have 1 full heart out of the 5.
At 100 hp and the healthscale of 20 sets 10 hp to 1 heart and displays 10 full hearts. So at 20 hp you would have 2 full hearts out of the 10.
At 100 hp and the healthscale of 30 sets 6.66 hp to 1 heart and displays 15 full hearts. So at 20 hp you would have 3 full hearts out of the 15.
Basically the healthscale of 20 will scale the health to the size of the vanilla health bar.
@Micius
Yea I'll probably release it in the future once I'm happy with the state of the plugin.
@Supavitax
If the lifesteal is set in the configuration, then does the "Life Steal" in the item's lore refer to "life steal chance" instead?
How is the critical damage calculated? (Using a multiplier or other methods? E.g. A critical hit uses a multiplier of 1.5x, so a sword that does 10 damage will deal 15 damage on a critical hit; or does a critical damage mean the sword will deal a fixed amount of increased damage, like any sword that does a critical hit will deal 10 more damage?)
How is the armour calculated and used? (i.e. How does the armour negate the damage dealt/received? Is it by decreasing the multiplier of the damage? E.g. Is it 'Damage dealt = 100/100 x damage' if no armour and 'damage dealt = 100/(100+armour) x damage' if armour is worn?)
How is health regeneration calculated? Is it based on the % of maximum health?
Edit: Also, "healthScale - This is the scale of the health bar e.g. if player has 100 hp then 20 will set each heart to the value of 10 health." A player has 10 hearts, so 10 hearts x 10 health = 100 HP, but how do you get 20? I don't get this scaling yet.
Could we get a source code?
@MikeGold
Could you post the error from the console pleas. Just so I can have a look into it.
It all works awesome now. Just to let you know: If I use /ils lorecreate (obviously wrong command) or /ils lore 3 Speed: &a&o10%, the plugin infroms me about the error, and the server console is being spammed with errors. Well, If I'd do everything as it should be done, it wouldn't be an issue, but at some point you might want to fix that.
@MikeGold
Just had a look into that and I've seemed to have fixed both issues. I'll upload the update and then just need to wait for it to be approved.
I'm testing your plugin. All is great, but for some reason the normal swords are not working on mobs anymore, while normal bow kill them in one shot.
@MikeGold
1 damage is 1 health point.
How should I understand Damage: +<VALUE> ? Is the normal damage dealt 1? Or maybe 1 heart?
@Supavitax
I think because mcMMO plugin. Thank you for good plugin!
@AppsolusZero
Maybe you messed up the lore on the tooltip because the plugin does work.
Why my custom sword can't kill any mob?
Just uploaded v0.9. This adds some basic commands to add lore and change the name.
@BeYondZer
I will have a look into adding the enchant effects to the damage.
@PanteLegacy
At the moment you need another plugin (I suggested one to a previous comment below) to modify the name/lore on items, but I'm hoping to have an update out either tonight or early tomorrow that adds these features.
How do you add stats to an item or create a new one?
