Item Lore Stats
Thanks to BrightDanny for the logo.
Add functioning stats to your items to allow players to increase their player stats. Any gear/weapons that contain the correct lore that the plugin can detect (list below) will affect the wearer/wielder. ItemLoreStats helps you create an epic RPG experience. Will add more stats/options based on requests.
Description
This is the Item Lore Stats plugin you can add to your server to get players farming/trading/looting gear to get the perfect stats for their character. Item Lore Stats offers random and unique loot tables for all of the default mobs and custom mobs. WorldGuard 6+ is required for WorldGuard support. Vault is required for currency support.
I will continue to support this and add many more features. If you have any suggestions please let me know through a ticket.
Installation and configuration
Place the ItemLoreStats.jar into your plugins directory. Then all you need to do is run your server.
Commands
/ils | Show a list of available commands. |
/ils version | Show the version of Item Lore Stats that's running. |
/ils reload | Reload the Item Lore Stats config. |
/ils stats | Will display the total stats of your armour and item in your hand. |

The health is calculated using (distance(when spawned) x multiplier) + base health = new health. The damage is calculated using (distance x multiplier) = new damage. Mobs will also receive a level based on the distance they are from the location that the command is entered. By default a mobs level will increase every 10 blocks but this can be changed by using the command below. |
/ils blocksPerLevel <number> | ILS will increase the mobs level every X blocks from wherever the /ils setMultiplier command was entered. |
/ils lore <player_name> <line#> <text> | Adds or sets the lore line to the item currently in the players main hand. If you don't include a <player_name> it will apply it to your own item in your main hand. <player_name> must be online. |

Permissions
Negate these to restrict ops.
- ils.admin
description: Required for the /ils createlore, /ils name, /ils setMultiplier and /ils lore commands.
default: op - ils.use.<Class_Name>
description: This allows gear to be restricted to specific classes or groups that have the required permission. If an item contains the lore Class: Mage then that player would need the ils.use.Mage permission.
default: op
- ils.commandlist
description: This allows the player to see the ILS command list.
default: op
Recommended plugins
These are some plugins I recommend using with Item Lore Stats;
- BarAPI
This will allow the players health to be displayed visually as the boss bar like shown in the video here.
- AttributeHider
This will hide default attributes such as "+X attack damage" from swords.
- ProtocolLib
Adds extra support to ItemLoreStats. Creating a smoother, more enjoyable experience for the players.

Metrics
As of v1.759 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server www.mcstats.org/. You can disable it by setting "opt-out" to true in \plugins\PluginMetrics\config.yml.
Auto-checking for updates
As of v2.18 this plugin will check for updates using Curse's ServerMods API. It always checks the current version with the version on BukkitDev and will notify ops or any players/groups with the ils.admin permission that there is an update available. It will never automatically download an update without the user typing /ils update. All of the updates are downloaded from BukkitDev. These checks can be disabled in the config.yml by setting checkForUpdates to false.

@MikeGold
I'll try and get an update out tonight or early tomorrow.
Awesome. I'm desperate for that feature, because I've got a bunch of whiners demanding their regen. It will relief my headache.
@MikeGold
Yea that's intended but I'll add a default value to regen.
Well I mean without any gear on. In vanilla your HP does recover when your hunger bar is full. I might be using the 0.915 version though. I'm going to check the new one now.
Edit:
Checked the most recent version.
Still not good.
Without any armor on HP regen does not work at all. That is kind of a deal breaker for me, because the equips with stats are very rare on my server so the normal players have to regenerate HP somehow as well.
@MikeGold
Have you set the tooltip correct and the amount high enough? Do they have gear with that stat on? because the regen does work for me.
@demellion
I'll have a look into that issue.
@Supavitax
Found another one, maybe its only mine problem but. Level requirments for items are not checked and items are not removed if they are in 100,101,102,103 slots, which is armor slots. No login/logout action does the check action.
I had a suspicion that it was because my server is running on Spigot, but I've checked it and it's not the reason.
Edit:
I thought that it could be one of my 40 plugins causing issues with your plugin, but I've removed all plugins on my test server and got the very same result.
@MikeGold
I'll have a look into it to see what's wrong because I'm sure it was working.
@demellion
I'll add the option to set them to 0 to disable in the next build and I'll look into fixing the speed when switching item.
One of my users just reported an issue with your plugin to me.
When your plugin is on, the HP is not regenerating at all. The food is maxed and hearts are not coming back.
I've checked my test server with and without your plugin and that is true.
Without it hearts are regenerating as ussual, with it they don't at all.
@Supavitax
Also found a bit issue about 1-9 slots (hand):
Any applied Speed stat by holding an item will not dissapear even when the item is destroyed/dropped. Few ways to overlay this effect is: 1) Death 2) Changing speed with other item or potion (basic minecraft)
Armor slots apply and removes effect properly.
@Supavitax
Yes, found that just awile. So still - can you give a config parameter to disable force setHealth() on any events (death, equip) and other? P.S Read before, then set.
For Heroes (and any similar):
Tip: Any damage set in your plugin Multiplies the damage set on Heroes plugin, but if you set damage from Mobs to 1 - This will do normal Heroes Plugin damage (or any other) but will disable any equipment damage
Tip 2: Setting some parameters to 1 (fall damage) disables the fall damage totally.
@demellion
If you set baseHealth to 0 it will disable any updates for the +health stat as well.
@Supavitax Im gonna kiss you (somehow) if you could set a parameter in a config to disable a force setHealth on respawn/firstlogin and any other action. Im having a heroes plugin which does this stuff already and i need only to gain + Health. This plugin is first, that can merge with Heroes. Please. Thanks
EDIT: OH GOD, setting Health Base value to 0 gives that HP Will never be forced, so Heroes eats this easy I've been searching this for few years already. Mate continue.
@otlod
You would either need to delete your player file in the world folder or set baseHealth to 20 in the config and then log back in the server to update the player file to the default vanilla value.
Something has went wrong:
After removing this plugin, there are too many player hearts. Is there a way to make it return to normal?
@MikeGold
I'll have a look into the npcDamageMultiplier and the fall/lava damage is detailed in my reply below.
@Adondriel
I will eventually be changing damage from a static value to a range so the life steal will amount will change slightly on each hit.
@PanteLegacy
Not that I know of.
@MikeGold
Yea I will be adding the increased damage from lava, fire, explosions etc in the next build and all configurable from the config.
Ok, I've downgraded
npcDamageMultiplier: 20
to
npcDamageMultiplier: 8.5
and the mobs are dealing the same damage as they did in vanilla.
But there is no way to increase the damage from falling/lava burn etc. (check my last comment for reference).
Maybe make lifesteal amount and lifesteal% have separate stats, so that lifesteal isn't always the same amount of health?
Do you have any suggestion for a plugin that can create a new ID, etc: Custom Diamond Sword to be 276:1 or something? Thanks (insert thanks here)
Oh, and one more thing I've noticed. When I tried to kill myself by jumping off a big height it took me three jumps to die, while in the past I would be gone in first go (no armour/weapon equipped). Zombie kills me in 3 hits. It takes lava good 15-20 seconds to burn me (a bit too long I think). Please check that out.
npcDamageMultiplier: 20
baseHealth: 100
healthScale: 20
I want to keep current damage/armour etc. But I want my players to die from falling as well. Especially those without any armours.
Edit: Maybe you could add Environmental Damage Multiplier as well? That should sort it out.
