(or Ice's Lighting Plugin)
Is a new plugin in development that will:
- Add durability to torches, and red-stone torches
- Power off lighting when there is no players in range who have the permission and command enabled.
- Add a new sound effect for different lights turning on or off
- Give caves, mine cart tracks, and other "creepy places" a darker feel.
- (POSSIBLY) light the area around a player while they are holding any lighting block
How It Works
While the player is not in range of the lighting block, it will change to another block that is similar. E.g.
- player walks out of range
- wait 5 or so seconds
- torch changes to red-stone torch
- wait about 10 more seconds
- red-stone torch changes to a off red-stone torch.
Torches fade out as they still burn hot, the durability of a torch is about 15 minutes of being powered on. red-torches burn less, so they have about 30 minutes to burn. Glow stone will turn into cobblestone as they are similar. Red-stone lamps simply turn on and off, and can still be powered with red-stone both glow stone and red stone lamps will not have durability

Posted Sep 18, 2013I'm currently in the process of learning java, i should have it down pact enough to start the code by the end of this year. If anyone who already knows java and is willing to help create the plugin, we might be able to have alpha out before the same time.
