This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Unfortunately, I must discontinue this plugin because I am too busy with other stuff (studies etc.).

This plugin enables you to disguise as every mob or as another player.

It is possible to disguise as some non-living mobs as well (e.g. falling blocks).

WARNING: Please note that plugin files which you download from SpigotMC.org and RobinGrether.de are NOT approved by the Bukkit Staff! Therefore it is highly recommended to download the plugin files from here (dev.bukkit.org).

Basic Usage

To disguise as a mob, just type /d and then append the mob type (e.g. zombie).

To disguise as a player, type /d player and then append a player name (e.g. Dinnerbone).

Please note that you can only see other players' disguise not your own.

Special Features

This plugin includes an update checker, which automatically checks whether an update is available every time you restart/reload your server. This feature is enabled by default and can be disabled by changing updates.check (check-for-updates for 5.2 and lower) to false in the config.yml (config.txt for 5.2 and lower). (update/version informations come from curse.com which provides a secure API for this)

This plugin also includes an auto-update function, which automatically downloads every update available. This feature is disabled by default and can be enabled by changing updates.download to true in the config.yml. Of course, this feature only works if updates.check is enabled as well. (updates are downloaded directly from bukkit.org so you are safe from malicious content)

This plugin integrates bStats Metrics to collect and evaluate some statistics. Visit the Plugin Metrics page to find more information about what stats are collected from your server, where they are sent to and how you can disable this if you don't want it.

By the way, the plugin iDisguiseGui is not working, creates one of the biggest errors in my console after just using /ig

I know the big issues iDisguiseGui has.... however I am not the author of that plugin, therefore it is not my job to fix them....

I contacted Lozz (the author of iDisguiseGui) about these issues but he does not seem to be active anymore...

I'm thinking about adding a similar feature to the iDisguise main plugin...

Hello, the plugin stopped working, I've tried to delete all the files and re install again, but doesn't seem to work. I haven't added any other plugin eiither, it simply stopped working. Creates errors if I try to use the iDisguiseGui, which I installed later to see if it could made the plugin work

When I disguise as a player and try to chat it comes up with my name instead of the player I'm disguised as. How do I fix this?

Go and download iDisguiseAdditions. It contains a few additional options for iDisguise. The feature you're looking for is called modify.display-name.

Hi,

I'm having an issue where none of my players can use the plugin. I have set the permissions as followed

- iDisguise.mob.squid
- iDisguise.undisguise

I have been looking at your permissions documentation and nothing there sais that I need anything else yet when my players do /d for the list of disguises they have it doesnt let them due to insufficiant permssions

You have to grant your players the permission node iDisguise.help otherwise they won't be allowed to access any of the commands.

I apologize that the command/permission page is a little misleading concerning this matter. I'm remaking all description pages at the moment, however I'm too busy to make any progress.

I have a 1.7.10 minecraft server when I disguise it works.

But when someone joins they get kicked and they get this error code

[USER]: Internal Exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: net.minecraft.server.v1_7_R4.PacketPlayOutEntityLook.<init>(IBB)V

I downloaded the iDisguise_v3.1pre3 because thats the only one that works for me

I discourage to use old versions such as 3.1pre3. For 1.7.10 please use iDisguise 5.6.2.

However, I hope you can understand that I officially dropped support for Minecraft 1.7.10 which is 3.5 years old now.... Therefore I won't provide more than a minimum of support.

Is there any way to get the username to change with the disguise as a player?

And can you make disguising as a player, would use a permissions system to put the disguised player in the default perm group?

I guess you are talking about the chat display name.... This feature has been outsourced to iDisguiseAdditions. You can download this additional plugin over here: https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/idisguise-additions

(This feature is called modify.display-name)

I don't really get what you mean with "permission system".

Currently permission for player disguise works this way:

iDisguise.player.name.<insert-name-here> gives you permission to disguise as the given player name

iDisguise.player.name.* gives you permission to disguise as every player except the player names listed in the config.yml (commands.restricted-player-names)

iDisguise.player.prohibited gives you permission to disguise as the restricted player names

Was just when you disguise as a player you could make it so you can make a file to that username

Let's say that i do the command /d player Johnny
Then it would ask if i want to save that name in my files and make a "player".
So it's like a player that is default rank, but is playable for the Admins point of view.
