Installation & Configuration
Move the iAuction command to the plugins folder along with the latest version of Vault and the economy of your choice
Run your server once to generate configuration
Configure using the pages Here
If you add a non-numerical value when inputting time, for example on my first test of iAuction, I put 3m.
This threw a very large error, which would be nice to avoid, if possible :)
May I also suggest adding an option in the configuration to have limits?
Per say... 3 Auctions allowed per 60 minutes?
Even with latest Vault jar, this throws the API error for me, I filed a ticket.
Love the changes, this is seriously going to boost the economy. Thank you very much.\
Still a few issues with names.
Potion names seem to be incorrect. I auctioned a fire resistance potion, and it says swiftness.
Enchantment names are incorrect. It always says fortune as the enchantment, and nothing else. Tried it with a bow, and with a sword.
Monster eggs have no names for their id. In 1.1, each monster egg has a respective id:meta. Wouldn't be hard to assign the correct names.
Using "hand" in the auction string will bypass the "amount" string if you are holding something that is stacked, when it shouldn't be (Not a huge issue/bug, just something I noticed)
I'm looking forward to trying this out on CB 1.1-R1. Following your page for when the update comes out. :)
Awesome, glad to see it!
You also might want to consider Bookworm Support as well, though at a lower priority than the other things.
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/bookworm/
Bookworm books even have NAMES stored in them which would be awesome for iAuction. A bookworm book id is usually 340:#, where the # corresponds with the number of the book.
For example typing "/i 340:10" with bookworm installed, would give you book number 10, which would correspond with the name of whatever that book is (Books are player made).
Wouldn't be the hardest thing to code, seeing as how simple Bookworm is, hope it's at all interesting to you :)
@Joymo
Sorry Joymo,
That bug should have been fixed for futue referecw when i say wiki i mean the pages tab up above
Notice to everyone: I have some free time over the next couple days: Plan of action:
I am having this issue:
"thWiki page on Fixing Vault Bug"
But ehm, what wiki? Neither Vault or iAuction have a wiki...wouldn't it be easier to just state the fix here...
It's good to see that development's so active :)
Additionally, there is hardly any potion support, including a bug.
Potions have a generic name of potion in the auction, meaning no one will know what it is. The incorrect type of potion is given out as well.
For instance, you could try to sell Splash harming potions (Very valuable on a PvP server) with an id of "373:16428" but when the auction comes back, they are "373:44" which aren't splash potions.
My suggestion? Give the proper names for potions, and enchanted items etc. And allow for an auction of a player's "hand". Maybe a user could type "/auction start <time> hand <price>" would make it easy to just grab some potions, and type that to put them up. Anyways, just a suggestion, going the item id route is perfectly fine. I'll post this in the ticket section as well (Just noticed the comment on it, sorry)
I would "desperately" love to see enchantment support for 1.0.
As it stands now, no one can auction enchanted items because the enchantment doesn't transfer. Additionally, the enchantment is wiped when it's returned to you. Such a shame :[
@godgodgodgo
What do you mean iconomy is supported by Vault ?
Damn! can't use this with iConomy :/ they need to speed up and get Vault XD
