Configuration
Metrics
Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.
Update Checking
HoloAPI comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for HoloAPI to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the HoloAPI directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.
Plugins Using HoloAPI
Some of the plugins that utilise the powerful features in HoloAPI:
...And many more!
Credit to Asdjke for coming up with the idea
I'm trying to create a diamond sword and iron sword crossing together as a hologram. I made it in Paint.NET and added transparency to the background, etc. When I created the hologram, some colors were missing and some others were wrong. Here's the image created in Paint.NET, and this is what was created as a hologram.
Any ideas on how to fix the colors? :(
@aradabir007
As posted by DSH105:
Automagically replace %name% in ANY hologram string with each viewer's individual name.
how can I display the player name? Like "Hello, @playername "
Good job, best Hologram plugin out there for sure! No bugs founds, easy to use and all the features you need :)
I got a issue where sometimes it doesn't load the full hologram reloading / restarting the server a few times helps it get back but it might want to get looked into.
@victor2748 Upcoming feature ;).
How do I create animations?
@Jleeevinnn What version are you running (or dev build number)?
Holograms keep constantly appearing invisible, or missing lines.
Added a few cool new features to HoloAPI tonight, including:
All these changes are available in the latest Development build (v1.0.3-SNAPSHOT) on hawk's CI, of which the link is above. Enjoy and make sure to report any bugs or problems over on the Issue Tracker :).
Also note: 1.0.2 is likely to be approved over the next few days, which WILL NOT include any of these cool new features.
@Corsicaman Try to move it out in the sun. That's something I can't fix unfortunately.
@hawkfalcon
It's still very dark. According to a friend, it's a Minecraft bug...
@Corsicaman
Try requiresBorder: true
The pics holograms don't seem to work for me:

Am I doing something wrong? Here is my config:

secondaryChatColour: b
autoUpdate: true
checkForUpdates: true

path: shoplogo.png
characterType: BLOCK
height: 30

@Jleeevinnn Update to the latest dev build ;).
Not letting me remove the logo.. http://gyazo.com/4423e7ee3611c1748b0dd3cbe9929e5d
@Corsicaman I'll try to fix that ;).
@robotnikthingy That's not the best idea, as images from URL's is expensive and takes time to read. This is the reason that I chose to load the images from file. I'll still consider adding this feature :).
Would it be possible to make it so players can use URL's for images instead of images in the images folder. That way players can specify their own images and I dont have to keep adding everyones images to the images folder
Great plugin, just 1 little problem: the holograms always spawn above blocks corners. Could you make it possible for them to spawn above the middle of blocks, depending on the position of the player?
@Willbbz Nothing was changed in v1.0.1 except a reflection fix. Holographic displays is probably using the same Entity ID registration system, meaning that the two plugins cannot run together.
I was using v 1.0 with Holographic displays.
I updated to 1.0.1 and it made all my displays have a black tint around the letters. This caused an FPS drop for my players as I've quite a few at my server spawn.
Also my displays set up with Holographic Displays could not be removed with HoloAPI enabled.
Hope this helps with development as with the latest version these 2 plugins conflict with each other.
