HeadshotEffects

Table of Contents

HeadshotEffects creates many options for when a player shoots someone in the head. All of these options are 100% configurable.

Current Features (All configurable)

Headshot sound effect, choose from any MC sound
Instantly kill the victim
Cause configurable extra damage to the victim
Cause random extra damage to the victim
Cause extra damage only to those who aren't armored, or everyone
Cause a particle effect to explode around the headshot
Cause separate HeadshotEffects for mobs and players
Send a message to the shooter (w/ victim name)
Run a command when the headshot happens (w/ shooter and/or victim name)
Have HeadshotEffects only occur from arrows, or use all projectiles
Have HeadshotEffects only occur if the players are in a certain world(multi/separate-world support)

Commands	Permission
/headshoteffects reload (currently disabled)	headshoteffects.reload

Users with this permission won't receive any configured extra damage when hit with a headshot

headshoteffects.bypassextra

Shooters will need this permission to experience HeadshotEffects if the "RequirePermission" configuration option is set to "true"

headshoteffects.effect

Install Instructions:
Simply drop the jar into your plugins folder. The config.yml will load automatically into your /plugins/HeadshotEffects folder.

ToDo

Run multiple commands on a headshot
Send a message to the victim on a headshot

Suggestions: I always love to hear ideas from people. Headshots could cause anything! If you have a suggestion let me know :)

Is there a way to send a message to the victim, and is there a way to run multiple commands? Love the plugin!

I want to use this plugin if you add you can not get Head Shot on himself :)

@dudemanmax Just released an update that fixes the last version, not sure what happened before I released it, that's my fault it does not work. The latest version is awaiting approval from the BukkitDev staff, should be approved within a few hours, it is 100% working.

My bad, I was quite tired when I made that.. you're absolutely right it makes zero sense to do extra if they have armour haha... sorry :P

I've fixed it in v1.4.1, which is awaiting approval by the BukkitDev staff.

Good! But I meant only if they're NOT wearing a helmet. For arrows to penetrate a diamond helmet and insta-kill the victim is kind of unrealistic, and the idea that headshots only affect one with a helmet on is kind of opposite xD But you did great on the configurable damage part!

I'm very interested in this plugin. Do you think you can add configurable damage bonus to headshots and maybe an option for instakill only if not wearing a helm? Thanks!
