Groups
This project is being overhauled!
A fully featured permissions plugin!
- Simple, yet fully customizable
- Create Group Hierarchies
- Modify permissions for groups or individual players
- Display player's chat in any number of configurations with the ability to override group prefixes with a player's own chat format
- Deny players a certain permission without removing them from the group that grants them that permission
Is there a way I can put certain people in certain groups?
Doesn't work :/
I uploaded the newer updated version last night. Awaiting approval. It adds an option to automatically add new players to the config and an option to automatically add put new players into the 'default' group. Keep in mind that if a player is not put into the config, any changes to that player will only be temporary. Both of these options will enabled by default, which is what I suggest.
@CooperGamesHD Keep in mind, the file that is currently available was the first release version. The next version should fix most problems you might have as well as add additional features.
Will try this out.
@BluePheonix123 If you don't want to have a prefix for a group, you can certainly just leave it blank by typing two apostraphes. There are some bugs I discovered in this first version and I spent all day reclassing the whole plugin to make it more efficient. It now should self update each players perms when you change something.
In addition to the new update, when it is approved, you will notice that just about everything is the same as before. I tried to keep it the exact same for compatibility purposes, but I switched the "settings" file to the default "config" file just out of simplicity.
If you are having trouble activating your permissions for this plugin, please note I have fixed this for v1.1. If you want to make sure you have all permissions, give yourself these in addition to the other normal permissions: Groups Groups.Permissions Groups.Permissions.Player Groups.Permissions.Group
Sweet, I might use this instead of Groupmanager I like the chat thing [Admin TheEnderPrince] is it an option or do you have to make that part somehow?
Just realized I never made package permissions for this plugin (Group.* to give all permissions). I will implement that when I finish revamping the process. So far it's going quite well - I'm not finding any issues with it. The features I've added to the next release so far are:
A permissions file example is also pending approval, nothing special - just shows you how it all works including a nice prefix you can use if you want.
It's released, but I'm currently working on completely reclassing it. It will still have the exact same configuration layout - so you won't lose any data. But it will allow me to add many new features much easier in the future, including groups that can inherit other groups.
Awwwwww This plugin seems legit! Can't wait! :D
Seems cool xD cant wait tell first release!
