Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

> Just remember that people have to develop these things around there real lifes and it is not always easy!Trust me, by no means i was saying dev's dont have lifes or does not do anything at all. I understand that 100%. It was not meant to cause harm, or downsize anyone. My main problem was when you post ( not only on this plugin ) Then watch reply's get posted all around yours for weeks, and still nothing, is what my problem was. It has happened here and on a few other pages i have posted on. I could accept even a , "i dont know" and i would move on. I have full respect for any of the devs. As i know nearly nothing about java, and coding. So there was no punt intended, just gets annoying when it seems your post gets bypassed, more then once.
@Lycrios
Just set redpower to use a fake player, that should make it respect the claims.
@Dunncann
You could try my plugin GP Real Estate.. I am about to release a new version when the current problems get sorted out...
Everyone else!
Be patient with Tux2! I know he has not been on for a week or so but it is only a week. Just remember that people have to develop these things around there real lifes and it is not always easy! They have been a big help to me with my new plugin! Also, it is not easy when taking over somebody elses code! We all do things slightly differently and you can make what you think is a simple change and find that something miles down the code does not work properly!!!!
REDPOWER2
Is there any plans to make this prevent redpower2 block from damaging claims?
@out2k
ok I am glad for at least a response. I will remark the ticket number and see what happens.

Yeah i hear you, i have re-posted and posted a new one (bumped) several times, only to seem to be skipped over, or no reply. I am starting to believe some of these plugins are getting new peeps to take them over, and sorry to say, there just sitting on them, taking the credit. When i used this a long time ago, i got a reply from bigscary within a day or two. Now.... waiting for weeks on a few plugins i have posted on, this being one of them. Still nothing....
@TheMrFalkin
Have you set a price for the blocks?
Why are you deleting my messages? And why do i not get an answere written several days ago, (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/grief-prevention/?comment=4656), which conserns other players too? I have complained to moderator!
@jwmpine
Thankyou for the reply jwmpine :-) I think i might have figured it out now, im testing some things out (treating the creative world as survival seems to do the trick) But i will read up on it some more :)
Sorry for the bother, and thankyou again :-)
Kindly Niels

upload your config into pastebin and paste it here..
Is anybode else having problems protecting area by clicking quartz blocks with golden shovel? Grief Prevention doesn't say anything to me when I click them.
@UltimateDaraiko
Read the in-depth topics..
It already covers everything you just said. Set the world up you want to use it on in the config. You can change how big claim plots you want them to be able to start out with.
Doesn't need to be in the FAQ.
Hello Is there any way to let people buy claims/subdivisions automatically? It would be very useful. Maybe an addon-plugin?
Help my server dosent allow me to buy claiming blocks everything is working except for buying blocks and selling blocks :'(
Found the cause.
process of elimination, OtherDrops 2.8b512 allows a player to bypass griefprevention 7.7 chest protection in spigot 824.
is there a verbose/debug mode? I'd like to see if Grief Prevention is allowing the opening of chests.
Spigot 824, grief prevention 7.7
Problems with merging two servers with Grief Prevention:
I recently merged three servers together, using multiverse, two of which used grief prevention.
The smaller server had 190 claims (next claim is 190, with lowest claim of 0). The larger had 1868.
I took each of the smaller servers ClaimData files and added 1868 to is, using a bash script. Verified that no filenames mismatched and put them in the new server's folder. Changed _nextClaimID to match.
For playerdata, I took all the unique names from the smaller and moved them in.
For those where the names did match, I took
- The older of the first line - The sum of the second line - The higher of the third line (usually 0, what is this) - The concatenated fourth line, with ;; between them IF there was data in both.
At first everything looked grand. Dynmap-griefprevention shows claims in the right places. Players can't build/break in the claims they shouldn't be able to.
Players can, however, access chests at this time. I'm not exactly sure what's going on there. Could be a permission issue, as I'm slamming a PEX based server into two Group Manager based servers. Hellofa thing really.
http://pastebin.com/UKMnHeYf plugins list
http://pastebin.com/iXULcp34 permissions group from groupmanager
pex is disabled/not running.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
Could you add permission nodes so we can set how many starting blocks each member on the server gets? For example normal members get 150, VIP, get 200, mod 300, ect?
Hi, great plugin!
I am running a craftbukkit 1.5.1 server for a school in (creative mode), and i would like to be able to have the following:
All players can create/destroy blocks everywhere by default! Only if you claim something, it will be protected.
ex. I made a spawnpoint with some signs and some nice sourroundings, and i really want to protect that part, but the rest of the world is editable by everyone (unless a player claims a part, and this will then protect that part.)
This server is being used for some creative courses for smaller children, and always have to claim land before doing anything is too hard for the most of them..
As this server is local on the school, i am not worried about "outsiders" destroying anything, i just want some parts to be protected by me/users if I/we choose to.
Edit: Maybe put this in the FAQ as well (if possible) :-)
Hope this makes sense :-) Otherwise i would be happy to provide more info.
Have a great day :-)
Kind Regards Niels
If I don't want certain messages to appear, how do I turn them off?
