Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Finally, some API! Scary's API was.. err... scary. Thankyou!
I love this plugin!
The tnt enable command should be listed in the player commands section I think.... Also I have typed
/claimExplosions whilst standing in my claim and then placed TNT only to have it blow up and do no damage....
I am betting that the above/below sea level is still coming into play I think a claim that has claim explosions NOT enabled should be able to have TNT set off above ground and have it do BLOCK damage. Currently It Does Not .
I have checked all other plugins and none of them are stopping TNT doing block damage as that was the first thing I thought hmm worldguard but I checked and worldguard is set to allow it.
@DevonCWoodcomb
Stand in it and type /untrust. Please read through the Guide above on how to use plugin before you ask questions.
@Cealian
This seems to be a consistent bug that Tux might fix some day, but it seems to be one not too important at the time.
How do you remove permissions trust from a subclaim?
Hi, I hope it's ok if I post this here. I made a plugin called ClaimControl that gives flags to Grief Prevention claims such as setting claims as private, enable/disable PvP and monsters and add entry and exit messages. If anyone wants to give it a shot it's in beta so suggestions/feedback is appreciated: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/claimcontrol/
I was creating a flatland world for my creative world. I build something and then unclaim. When the restore happened it created a huge 32x32 platform at y 63 and didnt restore the work down at flatland y lvl 4.
@slamsape
Sounds like your worldguard isn't working right.. If you claim land over worldguard the worldguard should override any claim rights griefprevention had..
You could just use adminclaim on all worldguard claims, then do /trust public so that they can use the buttons and levers..
@ jwpine
that will not work. MANY people on the server are protecting things in their claims with buttons and levers. If I change that setting all of a sudden those things are not protected like they want them.
I need a way to prevent claims from being created in a worldguard region. I even just figured out they can grief these worldguard region areas by setting claims and then deleting them. Which by doing so removed all the set water and lava we have placed in the area.
Figured out how to prevent everyone from building without claiming land.. And I've read all the guides but I didn't find anything in there about setting up ranks to plot claims. Is this not possible I'm guessing?
@65416516516514
So what do you use Griefprevention for..
@slamsape
Just create a perm setup so players can use buttons and levers inside worldguard/griefprevention areas... or just worldguard if you want players use them in areas protected.
@jwmpine
I happen to like towny and the way it allows me to prevent building or destroying certain blocks in the wild.
LWC I like because it allows a person to build anywhere they want, and still have protected chests/furnaces/signs/etc without an actual plot of land or having to stick a sign on them.
essentials protect, and antibuild..... well i really dont know about these.
Hello, I'm trying to set Claims.MaximumDepth = 20 and my players still can build claims to y = 10.
people have been setting up claims in worldguard protected regions. They are unable to edit within the claim, which is good. But if there happens to be a button or lever set up in the area they claimed, the entire server cannot use it.
in short. how do i prevent claims from being made in worldguard protected regions
@65416516516514
You have more issues in front of you then lwc not working properly and it's because you got towny and essentials installed lol..
can i use LWC and grief prevention together?
I actually have a few different things installed.
Towny Factions Grief Prevention LWC Essentials Protect.
LWC keeps giving me some errors, but i only use it because it protects signs, chests, furnaces etc.
Hello,
Is there a way to disable the /trapped command (for some groups)?
When a new player joins the server, they spawn in a little room with rules and stuff, but they can escape the area by issueing /trapped.
Can this be disabled/toggled somehow?
Thanks :)
Is there anyway to change the text when it says "Other players undo your work here! Consider using a golden shovel to claim this area so that your work will be protected."
Cause I want to change Using a golden shovel in the text to wooden shovel cause I already configured it so that you use a wooden shovel, but it'll be confusing to others when it says use a Golden Shovel.
Can somebody teach me that how to set up GP to prevent players from using bow to open the chest ?
