GriefPreventionFlags
Have you ever wanted to have flags in the plugin Grief Prevention? Did you ever wanted to stop those horrible monsters from infesting your spawn house without running 2 anti-grief plugins? Well now there is a solution... GriefPreventionFlags!
GriefPreventionFlags is the most comprehensive flag plugin for Bukkit! It extends Grief Prevention to allow you to customize the behavior of the game in each claim by setting flags.
Announcement
GriefPreventionFlags has now been succeeded by Flags. Due to changes being implemented by Mojang regarding UUID, keeping GPFlags working would require an excessive amount of time and effort when Flags duplicates its functionality. For this reason I am officially discontinuing work on this plugin. It is strongly reccomended that users update to Flags. Thank you for your support. - Alshain01
Features
- Over 70 Flags
- Designed for Grief Prevention
- Simple Localization
- Trust Lists
- Customizable Flag Clusters
- Custom New Claim Defaults
- Unclaimed Area Flags
- Multi-world support
- Vault Support by Extension
- Fast, easy to edit YAML data storage
Usage
To set flags for a claim, simply stand inside the claim that you would like to set a flag for and issue the command /setflag <flag> [value]. Setting a global flag allows you to choose the default behavior for all claims in the world that have not had a value previously set, this does not alter behavior in unclaimed area. For a list of flags see below.

Can you not set custom messages for NotifyEnter and NotifyExit?
Happy Flag Day Everyone! (or at least those of you in the United States)

@SonarBeserk
I have this added in my local sources for 1.5
I noticed you can disable hunger in an claim but you can still eat. That wastes the food and doesnt restore hunger. Could only negative hunger be stopped instead?
@GodsDead
It doesn't use a very large amount of resources. It keeps very little in active memory. As far as speed and processing, it's normal for what the plugin does. The PlayerMoveEvent (the event that governs AllowEntry, NotifyEnter, and NotifyExit) is one of the "most expensive" in Bukkit because it triggers so often. The more players, the more it triggers, and it triggers anytime any of them make even the slightest movement. Any plugin monitoring this event is going to take just a little more to use. That said, we try to do as little as possible to achieve the desired effect when it does trigger, so we won't keep your server tied up.
@Alshain01
Aha, I'll have to find another way, there must be a way to use an exiting trade system to get into hooks of GP, they have an extensive API. Does this mod use many resources? Im on the low end for shared server hardware, and am only looking at playing around with Allowing entry and notify messages to players.
@GodsDead
GriefPreventionFlags is intended to enable or disable game features based on the GriefPrevention claim your standing it. What your requesting sounds like an excellent plugin, but has little to do with the scope of this plugin.
Another request, could a basic trading system be implemented? " Ill trade you this 400 Cobblestone for that plot of land " I don't like economy system's and a trade would work much better.
Sorry, there is no such feature currently in the plugin. Also if it was added in then it would fill up your hard drive FAST.
Is there a way to list all players that have entered a claimed area? So Then the owner could view a list of all players that have entered their claim since they were last in the claim?
@xz38 There are a few possibilities. first of all, claim size is irrelevant, the code doesn't care.
Are they concentrated to one area? There could be a spawner hidden just underground nearby. Trying setting the spawner flag and see if they stop showing up.
Do you have a plugin installed that could be interfering? We cancel the event on what is called a "normal" priority. If another plugin is un-cancelling it on a high priority, that could happen. Of course this would likely occur on all mob types so I still think it's the spawner.
A plugin could be explicitly spawning them, if you have such a thing installed. There is a flag to prevent this, if you can't stop the plugin itself.
Using ver 1.4 and I have PVP, Damage and Spawnmob set to false in the claim.
@xz38
What GPflags version? Use /getflags in the claim and list all flags here.
Having an issue where skeletons are spawning in my admin claim. The claim is very large not sure if that is a problem. No other mobs are spawning in the admin claim just skeletons.
@Garrash
If that's the case, the SpawnMob flag should handle it. A "mob" or Mobile Object represents all Non-player creatures in minecraft. All of the spawn reasons available from Bukkit are implemented in GPFlags except Chunk_Gen which as mentioned wouldn't apply here. Sadly, Bukkit does not give us a way to track the movement mobs, so preventing then from wandering in from the outside isn't possible.
@Alshain01
This is untrue, I have personally had sheep spawn inside of skyblock claims on the grass we had, there is a VERY SMALL chance but animals can spawn on grass blocks unless this has recently been changed.
@SonarBeserk
Animals only spawn when a chunk is first generated. Since you can't have a claim on a newly generated chunk, there would be no way to make that work.
will there ever be a flag to disable animal spawning? I dont like animals running around in my admin claims.
