Goldecon, What is it? Goldecon is a plugin first created by boardinggamer & Kierrow in late 2011, but since the release of Minecraft 1.1, The plugin developers lost interest but then Stoolbend decided to pick up the project and inject some new ideas. Goldecon consists of the following files:
Goldecon+ (goldecon-plus.jar)
Goldecon+ is an all-in-one economy plugin utilising gold nuggets as a form of currency. Giving you included features like command based banks, Chest & Sign based shops and Region Market signs using WorldGuard, Goldecon+ gives you all the latest features in one jar file.
Ok thats great, where do I download?
Sweet, glad you want to use goldecon. There are 2 ways to get your hands on either version of goldecon!
Latest Versions (Will be updated when a new version is release on the github.)
goldecon-plus: 1.6.1 for CB 1.2.5-RB1.0 & below - Download from github NOW!
- 1: Click the files (or here) tab up above for the latest current release. (Bear in mind that when we release an updated version or a bugfix, It will take around 1-2 days to be approved before showing up on the list).
- 2nd and final way, You can hop on over to Github (again,) and download the latest development jar file (or compile your own if your feeling adventurous). Just incase you get lost, The link to the goldecon+ section is HERE!
I've got the plugin, how do I do X?
Command wise, a good start to using Goldecon is running /ge as an OP. This will show you the other commands that you can run. If you want to know here, here they are:
/ge <pay> - goldecon help - pay other players
/gebank <deposit | withdraw> - check bank balance - deposit funds | withdraw funds
/geshop <create | close> - shop help - create a shop (guide HERE) | close a shop
/geregion <sell <region-name> <price>> - region market help (guide HERE) - sell <region-name> for <price>
Also, you will need the permission nodes. The full and updated list can be found on the Github page HERE. Why the redirect to github? Its easier for me to keep one place updated instead of 2 :)

Posted Aug 31, 2013i had this plugin fro people to be able to make shops, but the shops never worked, it said u cna buy from ur own shop evertime someone clicked in any sign not just the goldecon signs, adn the goldecon signs did not even work, so plz help im trying to get player shops in this server ,and this is the best one i can find

I like what you have done with this plugin, and it almost fits my needs, except for just one little thing.
Would it be possible to list prices of items into a file, such as a config file (yml) or and xml document, so you can customize the price yourself (the owner of the server), such as how much gold nuggets a specific item costs to sell and just have a times 2 for buy, or a rate you can set yourself in a config file, that the plugin will times the sale value, or of cause a row for buy prices?
...and as a little extra thing, could it the also be possible to have an item cost less than one gold nugget, as an example 64 pieces of dirt worth 1 gold nugget?
Config file example:
#these values are from the shop's point of view NOT the customers'.
#ItemValue (NOT Id) ItemName NuggetBuyPrice NuggetSalePrice
32 Wood 1 2
64 Dirt 1 2
32 Planks 4 8 #or 8 planks 1 2
1 Gold_Ingot 9 9 # the player should not lose gold for exchanging to ingots, else they do it themselvess, and we rather need the gold for later tradings and it is a good customer policy.
1 Diamond 64 128

So this is how the plugin sees it:
32 pieces of wood is worth 1 goldnugget for buys and 2 for sales.
Example:
Player throws in 32 wood and gets 1 gold nugget, but now he regrets and wants to buy them back, this would cost 2 gold nuggets.
If a player exchanges a gold ingot, then the player gets 9 gold nuggets, and if the player regrets it will get the gold ingot back at no charge.
I will gladly make the config-file myself to save you the time, I have a pretty good idea how much worth each thing could be, to make it fair and would like to help, to fulfill my asked request.

I havent been able to do alot on this recently due to new job and all. If any of you guys want to take it over, be my guest :)
I simply made the goldecon+ extensions under the same license as the original plugin to avoid any potential problems.

This looks like a very useful plugin, but I'd like to ask, why the Common Development and Distribution License (CDDL)? Surely it'd be of more value under the GNU GPL?

Posted Jun 3, 2012Tried to sell cooked fish in a chest-shop for 5 gold-nuggets. When someone bought from it, they payed 1 gold-nugget the first buy, and nothing the second buy! I'm using bukkit version 1.2.5 R3.1. Haven't tried other items or other amounts in shops yet.

Updates coming soon. Development builds should be working with 1.2.5-R3 and will be developed against the 1.2.5-R3.1 Dev build of bukkit.

In short, no. When players want to sell/buy goods, they make a shop by creating a chest then a sign above the chest with [newshop] on the top line, then they run /geshop create which gives instructions on making the shop. Banks are currently command based which gives players a way to store their money, but while its inside the bank they cant spend it on shops etc.

I'm looking for a plugin that players can put gold ingots in a chest, and that would be there bank account. Maybe with a sign, they can do [bank] on the top line of a sign on the chest and add members to that bank account. When a player makes purchases, gold goes from their chest to the other players chest they are purchasing from like a wire transfer...
does your plugin work like that? idk

It was in the original version when I picked up development so I never really thaught about it. I will add an option in the next release on github (1.6_alpha-6) which can be downloaded in a couple of days.

This uses default permissions. You need to use PermissionsBukkit or BPersmissions. and I added suport for PEX I think...but I am to lazy to add more then that. I am sorry ಥ_ಥ

The inventories bug sometimes so the dirt should be there if you click the next empty space in your inventory. I wish I knew how to fix that.
For notifications I was trying to prevent spamming of notifications because like with IconomyChestShop I always hated the notifications popping up all the time.

I have tested with another player using shops. He tried to buy 22 dirt for 2 gold nuggets. While i got 2 gold nuggets (in chests) while he didn't find any dirt in his inventory.
Also there should be some notification when someone buys from you, even when you are offline. (push notification)

Just uploaded the update. I haven't tested it because I am a bit lazy to be honest but it should work /ge - shows help menu /gebank - shows amount of gold you have in bank
