Giants

This plugin takes direct inspiration from FatMarleys' plugin FatGiants, which in turn was inspired by NaturalGiants. This plugin also takes inspiration from NodinChan's MobJockeys.
This plugin was originally written by rmh4209, continued on by pkt77, and is now in the hands of Mammothskier.

any news as to the update?
Its annoying that the giants insta kill people but doable if you can disable them being so fast... right now they run with around speed 4!!! at you and you get 1 shot... Is there a way to make them less fast?
This plugin works with 1.11.2??? Nice job!!!!
@mivanit
Yes. When is a better question.
will this plugin ever be updated?
@mivanit
It doesn't exist. The code hasn't been written yet.
The link you posted to the dev builds doesnt work. Is there anywhere I can get a version that works with 1.10 at all?
@Mammothskier
Ah.... alright. Well, still hope you're able to update it cause it's such a fun plugin.
@Grrevous
I am aware of the issue with drops that affects several builds of this plugin. I have several developer builds that aren't affected by the issue but are still extremely buggy. For razor development builds, the quality is that it compiles, has hardly any bug testing and not recommended at all. The reason this plugin has not had an update is because coding for minecraft just isn't fun. The way it has to be done for today's minecraft world with many different versions requiring support just makes it a general pain. Most likely this plugin will be rewritten for sponge at some point, since from what I can tell development is actually somewhat easy.
@Mammothskier
I set it to where Giant Zombies drop Rotten Flesh & Bones, but the amount thing is buggy so I had to re-paste the same lines like, 10 times... Same with every drop... Anyway, can Giant Zombies hold different items (besides swords)? I don't wanna test it just to see that it doesn't work (lol)
I received a request to overhaul the current armour system to work better with enchantments. Available on the most recent razor build. Let me know if you like it :)
@Mammothskier
Ah, alright :)
@Grrevous
The dev builds support 1.7.9-1.9.4. Once I determine no major bugs in the dev builds I will release one on here.
@Mammothskier
Cool! Alright. Just 1 thing, do you have a rough estimate when the plugin would be re-released to 1.9?
@Grrevous
Today, the first razor dev build was released. Feel free to let me know of any bugs with tickets. build.chisel-craft.com
@Mammothskier
OMG thank you so much :D
The status of giants:
After rewriting almost the entire plugin, I have decided that it does not do what I wanted to accomplish with the rewrite. Doing so has created clunky useless code that I refuse to even put on github. I have decided to just patch this version of giants and not release the rewrite. With that said, the version I am going to release later tonight or tomorrow will still have several improvements such as a fix to the dropping bugs, a new filehandler that allows better configuration and a better method for giant jockeys that doesn't lag the server.
I've been working on an update to this plugin for a while now. I am in the stages of starting testing. Since I have rewritten almost the entire plugin, it is more controlling over the giants it spawns. As such, plugins that are commonly used with this one may no longer work. I would like to allow ways to making each combo work, so please reply here with the plugin link.
If it is a private plugin and you want to make it work, feel free to fork Giants and edit it as desired., or pm me and we can maybe work things out.
@mivanit
Yes. Try mythicmobs(http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/mythicmobs/). You can take the giant, make as many variants as you want, etc. :-)
is there a way to configure 2 different types of giant zombies? for example, a much rarer one in diamond armor with a different name, while still keeping the other kind
