Giant Caves
Overview
Giant Caves is a bukkit mod that creates giant underground caves in the world. The caves are generated using Perlin noise seeded by the world seed. Caves are unique to each world.
Giant Caves is implemented as a bukkit block populator and is compatible with the vanilla world generator and most likely any world generation plugin that implements the chunk generator pattern. Giant Caves also comes with a vanilla generator for use with Multiverse.
Works best with Subterranea
See it in Action!

Anyone tested for 1.3.1 yet? Does it / should it work? If not, update status?
Thanks for this awesome plugin - all my players love it ;)

I don't think so, this is just some code which is adds itself to the default world generator. This generator ran while the world was generated, that was before you added the plugin. So I'm sorry I don't think there's any possible way, but I'm not sure, Im not the plugin developer, sorry.
Is it possible for this plugin to populate an existing pre-generated world? I'm using another generator and I'm not sure this will work with it.
@NodinChan
Thanks for clearing that up!
@brexman
I read the description and it states that it's a POPULATOR. It's not a Chunk Generator. Multiverse uses Chunk Generators.
I like it, this plugin add more adventures to my server <3.
Could this be made to work with Tekkit?
I'm not sure what i've done wrong but multiverse refuses to generate worlds with GiantCaves. [SEVERE] Plugin GiantCaves v1.0 does not contain any generators that may be used in the default world! Is there a more detailed step by step walk-through i can follow?
Im making a world with World Painter, the overworld is great, but quite frankly it has awful cave generation. If I use this on my map, will it create these caves in any areas marked for population?
Any version for singleplayer?
@crowbars82
As long as you have the generator set to that world, it will continue to generate giant caves. If you apply this is a existing world, it only makes them in newly-generated chunks ;)
Excellent plugin. One question though... once the caves have been generated and the server is shut down, will the plugin attempt to generate more caves over the existing land when the server is switched back on again? Or does it only generate caves on freshly generated chunks?
Do you Think you can Implement Netherstuff? Like Glowstone hanging from the Ceiling? And maybe even Nether Strongholds?
weres the download link
this was causing massive errors server crashes and other bad stuff. i had to delete world (dont worry was a fresh generated one) and delete gaintcave, after that no more bad stuff
would this be gaint cave calling up this error i got lots of them

i got mc 1.2.5 and bucket for 1.2.5
I'm curious how one would use this in conjunction with Nullterrain to create a world that is nothing BUT giant caves. Also, my bukkit.yml file doesn't seem to show any world names at all. I'm attempting to use this in conjunction with:
Multiverse NullTerrain GiantCaves and Inception to create a massive underground world 'below' my main world.
@VADemon
I was not curious about that. I was more interesting in the idea of an all underground world similar to the nether but just a normal world that does not have a surface.
@EliteS7
sxz = 500 sy = 300 cutoff = 80 miny = 6 maxy = 60
The caves are random. I used an X-ray texture pack to find a good one for a picture.
