Giant Caves
Overview
Giant Caves is a bukkit mod that creates giant underground caves in the world. The caves are generated using Perlin noise seeded by the world seed. Caves are unique to each world.
Giant Caves is implemented as a bukkit block populator and is compatible with the vanilla world generator and most likely any world generation plugin that implements the chunk generator pattern. Giant Caves also comes with a vanilla generator for use with Multiverse.
Works best with Subterranea

Please opensource this project if you don't plan on updating it. It would be much appreciated.

Yeah, the plugin is broken atm, but it may be that you also forgot to change 'name' to your world name to the config.yml file?
Also, while this plugin generates caves similar to those in the images you posted, you are probably after something more like this: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/terrain-control/ which I use together with Giant Caves. It gives far, far more control over world generation.
To get this effect with TerrainControl, you want to set 'DisableBiomeHeight:true' in your biome config(s) and use the 'CustomHeightControl' to modify what height levels the caves appear in.
@auxilium22
I dont think the plugin works with 1.4.7 to start.
Theres a plugin thats supposed to generate the entire buildspace with dirt. Its like dwarven terrain gen or something. Try that maybe.
I still would love to see this plugin for 1.4.7 :C
I'm really confused on how this should be installed properly. What I basicly want is a giant cave landscape that can be compared to something like this:
http://martanael.deviantart.com/art/Underground-city-200322579
Or
http://iidanmrak.deviantart.com/art/Cave-town-347962303
Without a landscape generated above the cave. Is this possible with this plugin? And if this is possible, what could I have done wrong that I only get a normal looking world with slightly bigger caves? (I edited the config to these settings:
sxz : 2000 # Horizontal stretch (larger number = wider cave) sy : 1000 # Vertical stretch (larger number = taller cave)
I first deleted my worlds, then installed this plugin and let Bukkit regenerated the terrain. To no avail, sadly.
Could you help me out with this one? Thanks a ton!

HI All,
Please create a ticket in the ticket section with any errors for him. This would get results more quickly.
Thank you,
Larry
I have been running a temporary world on my server for some time, waiting for the required plugin updates before re-opening my main world...
I am now only waiting for this plugin to be updated to 1.4.7 (and have been for some time) and I'm sure there's quite a few of us, considering how awesome it is! So I have two questions for you, deltahat:
1. Are you still alive? I haven't seen any activity from you in the comments below, in the forum, in your support tickets, or elsewhere since 1.4.7 came out - perhaps you were hit by a bus? It does happen...
2. Are you aware the plugin is 'proper broken', and trying to fix it? I don't mean to be rude, but this IS possibly the best plugin I use as far as the players are concerned.
Thanks.
@Bodyash
It's not a generator, read the configuration section.
This plugin doesn't work with 1.4.7 :/ Are you planning on updating soon?
deltahat, would it be possible to update this to 1.4.7? or at least fix the chunk problem encountered with bukkit in 1.4.7?
Where is normal Multiworld support? I Can`t load it with Multiworld Plugin (Generator is can`t be found)
@Faldonboy
I see no reason this wouldn't work with Tekkit, although you would have to use one of the older versions. v2.3 is specific to the latest version of Bukkit. I'd try 2.2 and see it it works.
Would this work on Tekkit? As in, would Tekkit ores generate in the caves?
@deltahat Thanks for the update, love this plugin!
Updated for 1.4.6 - awaiting approval.
Eta?
This plugin will be fixed, but not until after Christmas. My family takes priority. The caves you already have will remain even if the plugin isn't running.
I agree with WhiffleX. My players adore this plugin. id love to see it fixed...
