Have you ever made a huge contraption with a bug in the middle of your machine and the only way to fix it is to demolish the entire machine in order to get to that bug? Now that's no longer necessary. Just fly through the blocks.
Description:
This is basically a no-clip plugin. This is how it works: it removes all bock around you within a certain radius and places them back when you move away from them.

Installation:
Put the jar in your plugins folder and reload the server.
Commands:
/ghost - toggles ghost mode
Permissions:
ghost.noclip - can enable noclip, default is op.
Change log
- v1.0 - first release
- v1.1 - deleted some unimportant code
- v1.2 - added permissions - other players can no longer see blocks around you disappearing
- v1.3 - text no longer disappears from signs - chest contents will not be deleted.
Bugs:
- In rare cases it causes sand blocks fall.

Posted Feb 8, 2014For anyone interested, this still works on 1.7.2 seemingly fine with perhaps any aforementioned hitches. Right now I have it running on MCPC+ nightly with Forge 1.7.2 support, Bukkit Essentials, MultiWorld, Mo' Creatures, Animal Bikes, Dynmap, New Dungeons Mod and Custom Mob Spawner.

Posted Sep 25, 2012This is a fantastic plugin! it has helped me and in more ways than you may think. However I have discovered that you can make gravity affected blocks fly and make blocks that require certain requirements to be met not need them. I am not sure if it is a bug but if it is i would really love you to not remove it. I thought i should bring this to your attention.

Posted Aug 23, 2012The issue with sending packets saying that the blocks are missing is that the server will not allow a player to move through blocks, even if he can't see them. If you want to maintain your current functionality and fix the sign and block-orientation issues, be sure to save BlockStates rather than just block type and data.

As aidanwolk said the plugin shouldn't actually edit the world, since this causes signs to be cleared and items to be dropped from containers.
Instead it should only edit the packets sent to the client to have it believe the area is empty while it's really not.
But other than that it's an awesome plugin which I'm using, although carefully to avoid hitting signs and chests and other sensitive blocks.

Posted Aug 22, 2012This is a great idea but I agree with kolorafa that it should only edit packets and not the real world. That way if the server were to crash or something similar there wouldn't be a chunk missing from your build.
