Geometric Magic
GeometricMagic adds the functionality of Geometric Magic, like that shown in Fullmetal Alchemist and more. Through redstone designs on the ground, one can do wondrous things such as teleport, transmute blocks, and build grand sculptures with little to no effort.
Features, Commands and Permissions
Features
- Teleportation (works better if the player actually puts time into calculating where they want to end up)
- Transmutation (change blocks of one type into another, with future energy costs)
- Transformation (build a tiny version of your masterpiece, draw the transformation circle around it, and watch it be magnified to enormous proportions)
- Set-Circles (circles with a specific purpose which can be activated remotely through Alkahestry)
- Philosopher's Stone (an item that will magnify your alchemical power, the construction of which comes with a terrible price)

There are permissions now! Check them out http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/geometric-magic/pages/permissions/[here! This plugin is meant to remain commandless, utilizing just the redstone drawings.

Feature Requests

It doesn't let me use my character levels(the ones you use for enchanting). I have to start over every time I kill a mob. Every time I kill a mob it switches however much alchemy exp I have into character levels. Oh well.

Your levels are alchemy exp, you use levels for alchemy.
Also if I have alchemy exp and kill a mob it transfers my alchemy exp to regular levels.
Ok so I logged off and back on and all my alchemy levels turned to experience levels so I can't use them for transmutation anymore and have to start from scratch...
ok I seem to have figured it out now. So the area it transmutes isn't connected to the circle...I figured it would transmute what was in the circle, Like everything that is like what you placed on the left within the circle turns into what you placed on the right. My mistake. EPIC MOD btw. =)
I'm not entirely sure how to select what to transmute and the "construction area" and transmutation in general is sort of confusing. Do you have a more detailed explanation? Maybe a screenshot or video? Teleporting and set circles I understand fine just the transmutation really.

So if you leave the "turn into" area blank it turns it into air?

Transmutation works both ways. In order to get energy (xp levels) to transmute things into higher things, you can transmute things into lower things. Lets say I'm underground and I see a bunch of smoothstone. I transmute it into air. Now I am rolling in energy. That's how you get the energy necessary for transmutation.
How do you get experience so you can perform transmutation and set circles?

You only need a little redstone dust. Changing something valuable (a chest, a gold block) into something not valuable (dirt) is free, dummie :P. So a griefer grabs a little redstone, then uses it to change parts of your house into dirt, even though you've protected it through other means, like Precious Stones, LWC, Lockette, or Stop Grief.

but u still have to take the risks to get the items in the 1st place unless u ar a op and 2nd it does not affect the in side of the area dummy :p

I agree, this is a very exciting prospect. I can just imagine so many possibilities.
I think the transmutation is overpowered and a game breaker. Even with the energy system, you're allowing for a whole lot of crap to become not crap. In minecraft, getting the good stuff is about exploring the depths and taking those risks. Someone who turns a giant pile of dirt into a small pile of gold via transmutation is being rewarded without any risk.
I can also see where the transmutation would conflict with a lot of anti-grief plugins. I'll just draw this circle directed at that guy's protected house.... BAMHOLYSHITAWESOMEIHOPETHEYDONTCATCHME.

Could you atleast enable ops being only able to set them up ? And disabling the "spiral thing" ?
Very well plugin, just needs more Magical function. You should add something like: If the player walks inside the circle that his figure change into a chicken for like 10 secs. Just a suggestion. (:
