Information

The Gender Plugin is something that I developed That Allowed Players to set their Gender so they wont get mistaken in real life as a Girl or Boy This Plugin is also useful with the Marriage Plugin. Commands are /male, /female and /gender. /male sets your gender as male, but if you do /male <player> it sets the player's gender as male. Exactly the same with /female, only it sets your gender as female. People with permission node gender.admin can do /male <player>, others cannot. /gender <player> tells you the gender of a player. Players will not be able to move or talk until they have set their gender.

Commands

/male
/female
/male <player> (only Admins with the permission node)
/female <player> (only Admins with the permission node)

*v0.1 *initial release

*v0.2 *added permission nodes

*v0.3 *Fixed unnecessary lag *Disabled forcing to set the Gender

*v1.0 *Set a reminder each 1 - 2 minutes to set gender

*v1.1 Updated to 1.3.1 Knows issues: Takes some CPU in PlayerMoveEvent (sorry about that)

Hey Airpline,

I would still like an option to force players to choose on login. Maybe instead of preventing them from playing or moving like you did before, maybe instead make a constant reminder in chat to set their gender.

That way they kind of get spammed to change it, and when they change it, the message goes away.

That way we can have genders be set, but not stop the movement of the player.

I Like the plugin, but it kinda seems like a 'Forceful' thing. I would honestly prefer where the players didn't have to choose and that they could play without choosing. Nice Plugin though!

You might need to take a second look at this plugin, and how it makes calls to bukkit functions.

Using Nolaggexamine, I have found that Gender takes up a lot of cpu usage making unnecessary checks on PlayerMoveEvent, which lags us heavily when lots of players are online.

Love this plugin, so do my members. Good work so far, but look into what you can do about the unnecessary lag.

can you make filling in your gender optional? so you can play without filling in your gender? maybe using a config?
