It would be Awesome if You made like a add on to this so it autosaves the worlds, Or auto Back ups the worlds? If you think its possible
@ferrybig
Any progress?
@andrewvpo
I will try to do it, but I never thought of worlds so big with 179924 files
Except for the extremely fudging annoying messages every few seconds, this is the best backup plugin I've seen! It would be good if the messages showed up at configurable intervals (ie 30 seconds) and only to players with either op or a perm. node such as ferrybackup.notify also the ability to run "/backup <world_name>" would be pretty awesome too!! :)
Keep up the good work!
Oh... and here's some photographic evidence: http://i.imgur.com/jpLHw.png

@radarz
will do
Hey I really like this plugin!! By any chance could you make it have time intervals? That would be great!!
@simplify3
if the freezup is caused by outofmemory, its unsafe to make an backup, because the memory could be still full, but I noticed my plugin can backup world, even when the world is bigger than the memory the server has (tested whit an 1.33 GB world)
Thank you so very very much for this.
I look forward to its continued development.
I have been looking for a way to bakup the server in the middle of gameplay - espeially when it reaches that point where the memory is full, the console stops responding. Just before it hits that point - before the point of a potential crash - I can backup all the worlds - and then restore them, instead of having to click the big X, closing the server and having people lose all their hard work.
Of course I should identify the source of the lockup and I'm still working on that - but meanwhile this is a perfect solution. Thank you so much :)
(used it 3 times already ken.ignorelist.com / deercam2.3322.org - good stuff)
this plugin rocks!!!!!
This seems like something I could use!
