FC_Announcer
FC_Announcer is a highly advanced automatic announcing announcer/broadcast plugin that grants absolute mastery over automatic server announcements. FC_Announcer allows you to create and manage groups of announcements that are customizable by permission, zone, and world. This allows one to specify the exact target groups of announcements. Edit the configuration file or read the one page of help and use commands, either way, the days of undesired announcements are over!
To demonstrate the power of FC_Announcer, I present a perfect example utilizing all of the features of FC_Announcer. Please note though, this is the most complex example that can be given demonstrating all features.
Problem: You want to create a jail where jailed players see the rules being repeated over and over again. However, it is imperative that visitors to the jail, aka non-jailed players, do not see these rules. As well, you have jails in other worlds and you don't want to worry about players in different jails in different worlds seeing overlapping announcements.
Solution: Create your normal announcements that you want. Then you set up the zone for that jail as well as define the worlds. After giving the "Jailed" group on your server permission to see the announcements, you now have a perfect jail that will repeat rules to only jailed players in certain worlds.

Looks good, installing soon :)
@Destro168
According to my co-owner we are running Java 6 on our debian6 box and your plugin is compiled in Java 7. He's currently looking to see if we can update our server and let you know if that works but most likely outdated java is the cause of my issue.
Thanks!
Probably Koz4christ. I don't know but that is what I suggest to everybody with it. Nobody ever responds if that solution works. So yeah, I say try it but I give no guarantees that it will work.
I am trying to get this running on my linux server and get this error when starting:
Could not load 'plugins/FC_Suite_Shared.jar' in folder 'plugins' org.bukkit.plugin.InvalidPluginException: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: me/Destro168/FC_Suite_Shared/FC_Suite_Shared : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
I did some searching and I think I need to update my java.....is that correct?
Step 6 of the FC Plugin Installation guide says to configure your FC_Suite_Shared config file.
@Destro168
Thanks. You should add some documentation on that if you don't have some already (None that I saw). Thanks again!
Edit it in the FC_Suite_Shared configuration Hockeymikey.
@Destro168
Sorry about that, I see it now. Thanks
Edit: How can you get rid of the [Broadcast] that comes before your announcement?
I did not delete your ticket Hockeymikey and am in fact, unable to delete tickets at all.
Go to "Tickets", click "Filter", change the "Status" drop down menu to "All" and you can see how I handled your ticket. I never delete tickets.
Also I would recommend you subscribe to "Ticket Updates" for my project if you intend to make a ticket, maybe I'll add that to the ticketing section.
Did you ever figure out what was wrong with me not seeing announcements as op? Appears you deleted my ticket. Thanks
I do actually plan to add MySQL at some point as an alternative storage mechanism for all my plugins but it's something you shouldn't expect in the near future as I'm extremely busy with FC_Rpg atm.
@Destro168
Any plans on making a mySQL version as well? It's much easier to add and remove stuff when it's in a database, and it can be controlled via a website =)
3k+ downloads wooooo, good milestone!
Alright I uploaded 5.2. Enjoy the improvements guys. If there are any issues feel free to make a ticket and I'll have it fixed as fast as possible.
Thanks!
What are you trying to reload from the config Jawshee?
Love this plugin :)
Any chance for an /announcer reload command to reload the config?
Glad the ignore permission works out for you :P
Very nice plugin, will be taking advantage of its unique features!
I have my ranks set up where the rank above inherits the below one. I thought about it, and I think I can still do specific announcements to a rank without the higher rank inheriting the permission and also seeing it. What I will do is just deny the permission on the higher rank but still let it inherit from the lower one. It will cancel out but let all my other permissions go through hopefully and not let my higher ranks see the announcements I give lower ranks. Hope that works. Sorry if what I just said was confusing... lol.
thanks!
EDIT: Upon reading the whole page... I see the permission to ignore annoucements... Thanks
Finally got all my plugins on github: https://github.com/Destro168/plugins
From now on I will no longer be including the source for my plugins inside of the file. You can view any and all source on the github (:
I will consider this fisherman77, I give no promises on if I will do it or not, but I will keep it in mind as I work on the next version.
